Il primo problema (CVE-2019-10539) consente attacchi remoti a dispositivi basati sulla piattaforma Android tramite Wi-Fi. Il secondo problema si trova nel firmware proprietario con stack wireless Qualcomm e consente di accedere al modem baseband (CVE-2019-10540). Il terzo problema <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/source.codeaurora.org\/quic\/la\/kernel\/msm-4.9\/commit\/?id=e0d510ff0fcb0778571579635b53ddd7e4caeb24\">\u00e8 presente<\/a><\/noindex> si trova nel driver icnss (CVE-2019-10538) e consente l'esecuzione del proprio codice a livello di kernel della piattaforma Android. In caso di sfruttamento riuscito della combinazione delle vulnerabilit\u00e0 indicate, l'attaccante potrebbe ottenere il controllo remoto del dispositivo dell'utente su cui \u00e8 attivo il Wi-Fi (l'attacco richiede che la vittima e l'attaccante siano connessi alla stessa rete wireless).<\/p>\n<p>La possibilit\u00e0 di attacco \u00e8 stata dimostrata per gli smartphone Google Pixel2 e Pixel3. Secondo le stime dei ricercatori, il problema colpisce potenzialmente pi\u00f9 di 835.000 dispositivi basati su SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 e chip pi\u00f9 recenti (a partire da Snapdragon 835, il firmware WLAN \u00e8 stato integrato con il sottosistema modem ed \u00e8 stato eseguito come applicazione isolata nello spazio utente). Secondo <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.qualcomm.com\/company\/product-security\/bulletins\">dati<\/a><\/noindex> Qualcomm, il problema interessa diverse decine di chip. <\/p>\n<p>Attualmente sono disponibili solo informazioni generali sulle vulnerabilit\u00e0, mentre i dettagli <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blackhat.com\/us-19\/briefings\/schedule\/index.html#exploiting-qualcomm-wlan-and-modem-over-the-air-15481\">\u00e8 previsto<\/a><\/noindex> saranno svelati l'8 agosto alla conferenza Black Hat. Le aziende Qualcomm e Google sono state informate dei problemi a marzo e hanno gi\u00e0 rilasciato delle patch (Qualcomm ha informato dei problemi nel <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.qualcomm.com\/company\/product-security\/bulletins\">rapporto di giugno<\/a><\/noindex>, mentre Google ha corretto le vulnerabilit\u00e0 nel <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/source.android.com\/security\/bulletin\/2019-08-01.html\">aggiornamento di agosto<\/a><\/noindex> della piattaforma Android). A tutti gli utenti di dispositivi basati su chip Qualcomm si consiglia di installare gli aggiornamenti disponibili.<\/p>\n<p>Oltre ai problemi legati ai chip Qualcomm, nell'aggiornamento di agosto della piattaforma Android \u00e8 stata corretta anche una vulnerabilit\u00e0 critica (CVE-2019-11516) nello stack Bluetooth di Broadcom, che consente a un attaccante di eseguire il proprio codice nel contesto di un processo privilegiato tramite l'invio di una richiesta di trasmissione dati appositamente formattata. Nei componenti di sistema di Android \u00e8 stata corretta una vulnerabilit\u00e0 (CVE-2019-2130) che consente l'esecuzione di codice con privilegi elevati durante l'elaborazione di file PAC
