In secondo luogo, \u00e8 possibile installare moduli Optane Memory per utilizzare un gran numero di unit\u00e0 NVMe. <br \/>\n<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" name=\"habracut\"><\/a><\/noindex><br \/>\nSorgono domande ragionevoli: non riescono a fare questo anche i server di altri fornitori? Cos'\u00e8 cos\u00ec speciale, dato che si tratta semplicemente di un server x86? Esaminiamo tutto in dettaglio. <\/p>\n<p>Oltre ai compiti di un server standalone, il Cisco C240 M5 pu\u00f2 diventare parte dell'architettura Cisco UCS. Qui parliamo della connessione a FI e della gestione completa dei server tramite UCS Manager, inclusa la funzione Auto Deploy. <\/p>\n<p>Quindi, abbiamo davanti a noi un server 'hardware' Cisco, della sua quinta generazione, presente sul mercato da oltre 10 anni. <br \/>\nOra torniamo alle basi, ricordiamo quali componenti costituiscono un server e cosa rende il Cisco C240 M5 non solo moderno, ma veramente all'avanguardia. <\/p>\n<p>Diamo un'occhiata a cosa \u00e8 incluso nella confezione. <\/p>\n<p><b>Contenuto della scatola<\/b>: server, KVM Dongle, documentazione, disco, 2 cavi di alimentazione, kit di montaggio. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Unboxing del server rack Cisco UCS C240 M5\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/4e6b39ebc4a78f8b37b29ea2d76da14e.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nRimuoviamo il coperchio. Premi, sposta e il gioco \u00e8 fatto. Niente cacciaviti o viti mancanti. <br \/>\nI contrassegni verdi colpiscono subito l'occhio. Notiamo che ci sono fino a 56 core su un server 2U senza problemi di raffreddamento. Inoltre, supporta pi\u00f9 memoria, fino a 1 TB per processore. La frequenza della memoria supportata \u00e8 aumentata fino a 2933 MHz. <\/p>\n<p>Accanto alla CPU vediamo 24 slot per la memoria RAM \u2014 \u00e8 possibile utilizzare moduli fino a 128 GB o memoria Intel Optane fino a 512 GB per slot.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Unboxing del server rack Cisco UCS C240 M5\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/147f87e31e346dbb0f360c92dccde512.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nIntel Optane offre velocit\u00e0 di elaborazione straordinarie. Ad esempio, pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato come un super veloce disco SSD locale.<\/p>\n<p>Le richieste dei clienti iniziano sempre pi\u00f9 spesso con le parole: \u201cVoglio pi\u00f9 dischi, pi\u00f9 unit\u00e0 NVMe in un unico sistema\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>Sul lato anteriore vediamo 8 slot da 2.5 pollici per le unit\u00e0. \u00c8 anche disponibile su ordinazione una variante della piattaforma con 24 slot standard sul pannello frontale.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Unboxing del server rack Cisco UCS C240 M5\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/ddeca4947e941f1dadfe2a691b8729d8.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nA seconda della configurazione, \u00e8 possibile installare fino a 8 dischi NMVe nel formato U.2 nei primi slot. <\/p>\n<p>La piattaforma C240 \u00e8 molto popolare tra i clienti che si occupano di big data. La loro richiesta principale \u00e8 quella di avere unit\u00e0 per il boot locale, preferibilmente hot pluggable.<\/p>\n<p>La risposta a questa richiesta \u00e8 stata l'aggiunta da parte di Cisco di due slot posteriori per dischi con supporto hot swap nel C240 M5.<\/p>\n<p>Questi sono posizionati a destra degli slot di espansione, vicino all'alimentatore. Gli storage possono essere di qualsiasi tipo: SAS, SATA, SSD, NVMe.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Unboxing del server rack Cisco UCS C240 M5\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/33ef5ba06667b6e130ce724bd27cf857.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nAccanto, vediamo alimentatori da 1600W. Sono anch'essi hot pluggable e dotati di etichette verdi.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Unboxing del server rack Cisco UCS C240 M5\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/46ab4548bc3d84d497f772f7c8eaa633.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nPer gestire il sistema di storage, \u00e8 possibile installare in uno slot dedicato un controller RAID di LSI con 2 GB di cache, oppure una scheda HBA per il passthrough diretto.<\/p>\n<p>Ad esempio, questo approccio \u00e8 utilizzato nella costruzione della soluzione iperconvergente Cisco HyperFlex.<\/p>\n<p>Ci sono un altro tipo di clienti che non hanno bisogno di dischi. Non vogliono installare un intero controller RAID per l'hypervisor, ma apprezzano il case 2U per la facilit\u00e0 di manutenzione.<br \/>\nAnche per loro Cisco ha una soluzione.<\/p>\n<p>Presento il modulo FlexFlash:<br \/>\nDue schede SD, fino a 128 GB, con supporto per il mirroring, per l'installazione di un hypervisor, come VMware ESXi. Questa \u00e8 l'opzione che utilizziamo in ITGLOBAL.COM per costruire i nostri ambienti in tutto il mondo. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Unboxing del server rack Cisco UCS C240 M5\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/d265c93e1e60428c69132b3cddb3a790.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nPer quei clienti che necessitano di maggiore spazio per caricare il sistema operativo, \u00e8 disponibile un modulo con due dischi SSD 'SATA' in formato M.2, da 240 o 960 GB ciascuno. Di default, si tratta di un RAID software. <\/p>\n<p>Per gli storage da 240 GB \u00e8 possibile utilizzare il controller RAID M.2 ottimizzato per il boot di Cisco \u2014 un controller RAID hardware separato per questi due SSD.<\/p>\n<p>Tutto ci\u00f2 \u00e8 supportato da tutti i sistemi operativi: sia VMware che Windows, oltre a diverse distribuzioni Linux.<br \/>\nIl numero di slot PCI \u00e8 6, caratteristico delle piattaforme 2U. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Unboxing del server rack Cisco UCS C240 M5\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/67f57214e9f99cbad0add05865ed83f8.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nAll'interno c'\u00e8 abbastanza spazio. \u00c8 facile installare due acceleratori grafici completi da NVidia, come il TESLA M10 per progetti di implementazione <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/vps\/abuzoustojchivye-vps\/\"   title=\"scrivanie virtuali\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"1009\">scrivanie virtuali<\/a> o l'ultima versione V100 da 32 GB per applicazioni di intelligenza artificiale. \u00c8 quello che utilizzeremo nel prossimo unboxing.<\/p>\n<p>Per quanto riguarda le porte, la situazione \u00e8 la seguente: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Porta console;<\/li>\n<li>Porta di gestione dedicata Gigabit;<\/li>\n<li>Due porte USB 3.0;<\/li>\n<li>Scheda di rete integrata a 2 porte Intel x550 10Gb BASE-T;<\/li>\n<li>Scheda mLOM opzionale, adattatore Cisco Vic 1387 a due porte da 40 Gb.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nNel slot mLOM possono essere installate solo le schede Cisco VIC, che sono efficaci sia per il traffico LAN che SAN. Utilizzando il server all'interno della fabbrica Cisco UCS, questo approccio consente di organizzare in modo univoco le connessioni alle reti LAN e SAN senza la necessit\u00e0 di un adattatore fc separato. <\/p>\n<p>Procediamo con l'installazione dell'acceleratore video Nvidia V100. Rimuoviamo il secondo riser, togliamo il tappo, inseriamo la scheda nello slot PCI, richiudiamo la plastica e poi il tappo. Colleghiamo l'alimentazione supplementare. Prima alla scheda, poi al riser. Rimettiamo il riser al suo posto. In generale, tutto si svolge senza l'uso di cacciaviti o martelli.
