Inizio di settembre, gli sviluppatori del server di posta Exim hanno avvisato gli utenti riguardo a una vulnerabilit\u00e0 critica (CVE-2019-15846), che consente a un attaccante locale o remoto di eseguire il proprio codice sul server con diritti di root. Agli utenti di Exim \u00e8 stato consigliato di installare un aggiornamento straordinario alla versione 4.92.2. <\/p>\n

Gi\u00e0 il 29 settembre \u00e8 stata pubblicata un'altra versione di emergenza di Exim 4.92.3 che risolve un'ulteriore vulnerabilit\u00e0 critica (CVE-2019-16928), permettendo di eseguire codice da remoto sul server. La vulnerabilit\u00e0 si manifesta dopo il ripristino dei privilegi ed \u00e8 limitata all'esecuzione di codice con diritti di un utente non privilegiato, sotto il quale viene eseguito il gestore dei messaggi in arrivo. <\/p>\n

Si raccomanda agli utenti di installare urgentemente l'aggiornamento. La correzione \u00e8 stata rilasciata per Ubuntu 19.04, Arch Linux, FreeBSD, Debian 10 e Fedora. In RHEL e CentOS Exim non \u00e8 incluso nel repository dei pacchetti standard. In SUSE e openSUSE viene utilizzato il ramo Exim 4.88.<\/p>\n
