DJI ha rallentato nel settore dei droni consumer, puntando ultimamente su settore industriale<\/a><\/noindex>. The second drone from the company is significantly smaller (223 × 273 × 74 mm with a weight of 775 grams), features an enhanced camera, can be controlled like a regular drone via an additional controller, and comes with an extra beacon controller, perfect for automated sports shooting. This time, the price starts at $999.<\/p>\n

Skydio 2 sembra un prodotto veramente interessante per i consumatori. R1 utilizzava 13 fotocamere per creare un modello 3D dell'ambiente circostante. Skydio 2 \u00e8 equipaggiato con solo sei, che hanno una risoluzione maggiore (45 Mp complessivi contro 3 Mp per R1 e circa 4,9 Mp per Mavic 2). La visione artificiale \u00e8 gestita dalla piattaforma NVIDIA Jetson TX2 (basata su Tegra X2). Il nuovo drone \u00e8 quasi 1,5 volte pi\u00f9 veloce (58 km\/h), il 50% pi\u00f9 silenzioso e notevolmente pi\u00f9 autonomo (23 minuti).<\/p>\n

The camera on the three-axis gimbal has also been improved. It supports shooting in 4K, now at a frame rate of up to 60 fps and with HDR (1080p can be recorded at 120 fps). It uses a relatively weak 12.3-MP Sony IMX577 1\/2.3″ sensor, complemented by a 20-mm f\/2.8 aperture lens. Image processing is handled by the Qualcomm QCS605 chip with 8 Kyro 300 cores, Adreno 615 graphics, and Hexagon 685 DSP. Videos are recorded in HEVC\/H.265 format at 100 Mbps, and photos can be taken in JPG and DNG.<\/p>\n

The most significant change is the addition of two controllers, each costing $150, meaning a full kit will set you back at least $1150 compared to $1730 for the Mavic 2 Pro (though the latter has a significantly better camera \u2013 a 20-MP 1″ sensor). Each controller serves a specific purpose. The regular radio controller with two sticks and buttons allows flying at a distance of up to 3.5 km.<\/p>\n

The second option is called Beacon \u2013 it's the size of a TV remote control. It allows for a flight distance of up to 1.5 km but is much easier to use. Simply point it at the drone, press and hold the button, and the aircraft will follow the direction of your hand. You can change the tracking mode with the remote. It's compact enough to fit in your pocket, making it unobtrusive during sports activities. It features a GPS sensor, so Skydio 2 won't lose the user even if they are out of sight.<\/p>\n

Unlike the R1, it does not have built-in storage \u2013 only an external SD card. Interestingly, despite its relatively affordable price, the drones are assembled in the USA, not China.<\/p>\n
