Secondo l'azienda, l'attaccante \u00e8 riuscito ad accedere al server del centro dati in Finlandia utilizzando un sistema remoto di gestione non protetto lasciato dal fornitore del centro dati. Inoltre, NordVPN ha dichiarato di non essere a conoscenza dell'esistenza di tale sistema.<\/p>\n

\u00abIl server non conteneva alcun registro delle attivit\u00e0 degli utenti; nessuna delle nostre applicazioni invia le credenziali di autenticazione create dagli utenti, quindi i nomi utente e le password non potevano essere intercettati\u00bb, si legge nella dichiarazione ufficiale dell'azienda.<\/p>\n

NordVPN non ha rivelato il nome del fornitore del centro dati, ma ha dichiarato di aver rescindato il contratto con il proprietario server<\/a> e di aver interrotto il loro ulteriore utilizzo.
