Dopo pi\u00f9 di un anno dall'ultima versione, \u00e8 disponibile un nuovo aggiornamento del versatile lettore MPV \u2014 erede di quello che un tempo era quasi uno standard per i sistemi operativi Unix-like, mplayer.<\/p>\n

Negli ultimi tempi lo sviluppo \u00e8 stato un po' silente, ma nella nuova versione si segnalano numerosi cambiamenti, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la decodifica video utilizzando la scheda grafica, in particolare tramite l'API Vulkan.<\/p>\n

Purtroppo, il progetto non fornisce un riepilogo delle modifiche facilmente leggibile, quindi tutte le novit\u00e0 possono essere consultate solo nel log delle modifiche (changelog).<\/p>\n

In particolare, \u00e8 importante menzionare l'utilizzo della libreria libplacebo per lavorare con Vulkan invece della precedente implementazione interna. Questa libreria si propone di estrarre alcune delle funzionalit\u00e0 di MPV legate al rendering in un progetto separato.<\/p>\n

In generale, ci sono molti cambiamenti (gran parte sembra riguardare l'output video tramite il metodo comune a tutte le schede grafiche vo_gpu), consiglio a chi \u00e8 interessato di prenderne visione personalmente attraverso il link fornito.<\/p>\n
