Sviluppatori del progetto Heptapod<\/a><\/noindex>, uno sviluppo del fork della piattaforma open source per la collaborazione GitLab Community Edition<\/a><\/noindex>, adattato per l'uso con il sistema di gestione dei codici sorgente Mercurial, hanno annunciato<\/a><\/noindex> sull'introduzione di un hosting pubblico per progetti Open Source (foss.heptapod.net<\/a><\/noindex>), che utilizzano Mercurial. Il codice Heptapod, come GitLab, \u00e8 distribuito<\/a><\/noindex> \u00e8 rilasciato con licenza MIT e pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato per implementare hosting di codice simili sui propri server.<\/p>\n

Il servizio avviato consente l'hosting gratuito di qualsiasi progetto libero e aperto che utilizzi licenze approvate dalla OSI. Tuttavia, c'\u00e8 una condizione: \u00e8 necessario posizionare i loghi degli sponsor Heptapod (Clever Cloud e Octobus) sulla pagina web ufficiale del progetto (ad esempio, nella pagina con le istruzioni per gli sviluppatori). Dopo la registrazione, \u00e8 necessario creare una richiesta per la creazione di un repository nella sezione issues<\/a><\/noindex>. A causa di cessazione del supporto<\/a><\/noindex> Mercurial da parte dell'hosting Bitbucket, saranno prese in priorit\u00e0 le richieste da progetti ospitati su Bitbucket. <\/p>\n

Ricordiamo che dal 1 febbraio 2020, su Bitbucket sar\u00e0 vietata la creazione di nuovi repository Mercurial, e dal 1 giugno 2020 verr\u00e0 disabilitata tutta la funzionalit\u00e0 relativa a Mercurial, inclusi gli API specifici per Mercurial, e tutti i repository Mercurial verranno eliminati. Oltre a Heptapod, anche altri servizi forniscono supporto per Mercurial. SourceForge<\/a><\/noindex>, Mozdev<\/a><\/noindex> e Savannah<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n
