I token preparati utilizzando OpenSK possono essere utilizzati come autenticatori per l'autenticazione primaria e a due fattori, nonch\u00e9 per confermare la presenza fisica dell'utente. Il progetto \u00e8 scritto in Rust e <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/google\/OpenSK\">distribuito<\/a><\/noindex> sotto licenza Apache 2.0.<\/p>\n<p>OpenSK consente di creare un proprio token per l'autenticazione a due fattori sui siti, che, a differenza delle soluzioni pronte realizzate da produttori come Yubico, Feitian, Thetis e Kensington, \u00e8 costruito su firmware completamente aperto, disponibile per l'estensione e la revisione. OpenSK si presenta come una piattaforma di ricerca che produttori di token e appassionati possono utilizzare per sviluppare nuove funzionalit\u00e0 e promuovere i token di massa. Inizialmente, il codice OpenSK \u00e8 stato sviluppato come applicazione per  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/tockos.org\/\">Tock OS<\/a><\/noindex> ed \u00e8 stato testato su schede Nordic nRF52840-DK e Nordic nRF52840-dongle. <\/p>\n<p>Oltre al software, il progetto include <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thingiverse.com\/thing:4132768\">sono forniti<\/a><\/noindex> modelli per la stampa 3D del case USB key basato sul popolare chip <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/infocenter.nordicsemi.com\/pdf\/nRF52840_PS_v1.1.pdf\">Nordic nRF52840<\/a><\/noindex>, che include un microcontrollore ARM Cortex-M4 e un acceleratore crittografico<br \/>\n ARM TrustZone Cryptocell 310. Nordic nRF52840 \u00e8 la prima piattaforma di riferimento per OpenSK. Rispetto ai progetti menzionati, OpenSK \u00e8 scritto non in C, ma in Rust, consentendo di evitare molte vulnerabilit\u00e0 che sorgono a causa del lavoro a basso livello con la memoria, come l'accesso alla memoria dopo il suo rilascio, il dereferenziazione di puntatori nulli e l'overflow del buffer. <\/p>\n<p>Il firmware proposto per l'installazione si basa su <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/tock\/tock\">TockOS<\/a><\/noindex>,<br \/>\n, un sistema operativo per microcontrollori basato su Cortex-M e RISC-V, che fornisce isolamento sandbox per il kernel, i driver e le applicazioni.
