Lukas Schauer, sviluppatore dehydrated<\/a><\/noindex>, script bash per automatizzare l'ottenimento di certificati SSL tramite il servizio Let’s Encrypt<\/a><\/noindex>, ha accettato l'offerta<\/a><\/noindex> di vendita del progetto e di finanziamento del suo ulteriore sviluppo. Il nuovo proprietario del progetto \u00e8 diventata la societ\u00e0 austriaca Apilayer GmbH<\/a><\/noindex>. Il progetto \u00e8 stato trasferito su un nuovo indirizzo github.com\/dehydrated-io\/dehydrated<\/a><\/noindex>. La licenza rimane invariata (MIT). <\/p>\n

Una transazione ben fatta garantir\u00e0 lo sviluppo e il supporto continuo del progetto \u2014 Lucas \u00e8 uno studente e, dopo il termine degli studi, non \u00e8 chiaro se avr\u00e0 ancora tempo per il progetto. L'acquisto di dehydrated da parte dell'azienda Apilayer \u00e8 giustificato dal desiderio di contribuire al supporto dei progetti open source e mantenere una buona reputazione del proprio marchio (l'azienda vuole dimostrare che non solo utilizza software open source nel suo servizio cloud, ma sostiene anche il suo sviluppo). <\/p>\n

Lukas rimarr\u00e0 maintainer e manterr\u00e0 il controllo su tutto lo sviluppo. Inoltre, Lukas ora potr\u00e0 dedicare pi\u00f9 tempo allo sviluppo di dehydrated, su cui negli ultimi mesi il lavoro si \u00e8 principalmente limitato al supporto. Tra i piani a breve termine si menziona l'implementazione di un nuovo sistema per il testing del codice, che garantir\u00e0 l'assenza di regressioni e incompatibilit\u00e0 con i vecchi sistemi, oltre a monitorare la conformit\u00e0 agli standard ACME<\/a><\/noindex> (RFC-8555<\/a><\/noindex>). Successivamente, Lukas intende migliorare la documentazione.<\/p>\n

Ricordiamo che l'uso di dehydrated \u00e8 uno dei modi pi\u00f9 semplici per organizzare il processo di ottenimento e aggiornamento dei certificati tramite Let\u2019s Encrypt \u2014 basta elencare i domini necessari nel file di configurazione e creare una directory. WELLKNOWN<\/a><\/noindex> nella struttura del server web e aggiungere lo script nel crontab, tutte le altre azioni vengono eseguite automaticamente, senza la necessit\u00e0 di un intervento manuale da parte dell'utente. Per far funzionare lo script, sono richiesti bash, openssl, curl, sed, grep, awk e mktemp, che di solito sono gi\u00e0 inclusi nei pacchetti di base delle distribuzioni.<\/p>\n
