Attualmente \u00e8 supportato solo il sistema operativo Android, tuttavia, poich\u00e9 il programma \u00e8 scritto su un framework multipiattaforma Qt utilizzando QML, in futuro sar\u00e0 possibile portare l'applicazione anche su altre piattaforme. Il programma \u00e8 un'alternativa ai client Tox <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Antox\/Antox\">Antox<\/a><\/noindex>, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/zoff99\/ToxAndroidRefImpl\">Trifa<\/a><\/noindex> e <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/InsightIM\/Tok-Android\">Tok<\/a><\/noindex>, quasi tutti abbandonati. Il codice del progetto <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.com\/Monsterovich\/protox\/\">\u00e8 distribuito<\/a><\/noindex> sotto licenza GPLv3.<\/p>\n<p>Nella versione alpha non sono implementate le seguenti funzionalit\u00e0 del protocollo: invio di file e avatar (il compito con la massima priorit\u00e0 nelle prossime versioni), supporto per conferenze (gruppi), comunicazione video e vocale. Per evitare che l'applicazione si disconnetta dalla rete, \u00e8 necessario rimuovere il limite di attivit\u00e0 dell'app nelle impostazioni di Android. Problemi noti nella versione alpha:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Il campo di immissione dei messaggi, quando si utilizzano le interruzioni di riga, non ha la barra di scorrimento e ha un'altezza infinita. Finora non siamo riusciti a risolvere questo problema.\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporto incompleto per la formattazione dei messaggi. In effetti, nel protocollo Tox non esiste uno standard per la formattazione, tuttavia, similmente al client desktop qTox, \u00e8 supportata la formattazione: link, testo in grassetto, sottolineature,
