Questo metodo \u00e8 solitamente utilizzato per la preinstallazione di componenti aggiuntivi nelle distribuzioni, per l'inserimento di componenti aggiuntivi durante l'installazione di un'applicazione nel sistema o per la fornitura autonoma di un componente aggiuntivo con il proprio installer.  <\/p>\n<p>In Firefox 73, previsto per l'11 febbraio, tali componenti aggiuntivi continueranno a funzionare, ma saranno spostati dalla cartella condivisa tra tutte le istanze del browser a profili utenti individuali, ovvero saranno convertiti nel formato utilizzato durante l'installazione tramite il gestore dei componenti aggiuntivi. A partire dal rilascio di Firefox 74, previsto per il 10 marzo, il supporto per componenti aggiuntivi non legati ai profili utente verr\u00e0 interrotto. <\/p>\n<p>Gli sviluppatori di componenti aggiuntivi installati senza legame con il profilo sono invitati a passare a <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/extensionworkshop.com\/documentation\/publish\/submitting-an-add-on\/\">distribuzione<\/a><\/noindex> dei propri prodotti attraverso il catalogo ufficiale dei componenti aggiuntivi <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\">addons.mozilla.org<\/a><\/noindex>. Per installare manualmente i componenti aggiuntivi scaricati separatamente, \u00e8 possibile utilizzare l'opzione di caricamento del componente aggiuntivo da file, disponibile nel gestore dei componenti aggiuntivi.<\/p>\n<p>La causa dei cambiamenti presentati \u00e8 dovuta a problemi riscontrati dagli utenti con questi componenti aggiuntivi \u2014 tali componenti aggiuntivi vengono spesso imposti e attivati senza il consenso esplicito dell'utente. Inoltre, poich\u00e9 il componente aggiuntivo non \u00e8 legato al profilo dell'utente, quest'ultimo non pu\u00f2 rimuoverlo tramite il gestore standard dei componenti aggiuntivi.
