Per impostazione predefinita, HTTP\/3 \u00e8 disabilitato e richiede l'attivazione dell'opzione &#171;network.http.http3.enabled&#187; in about:config. <\/p>\n<p>Il supporto per HTTP\/3 in Firefox si basa su un progetto sviluppato da Mozilla <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/mozilla\/neqo\">neqo<\/a><\/noindex>, che fornisce un'implementazione client e server per il protocollo QUIC. Il codice dei componenti per il supporto di HTTP\/3 e QUIC \u00e8 scritto in Rust.<br \/>\nDalla parte client, il supporto sperimentale per HTTP\/3 \u00e8 gi\u00e0  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51526\">\u00e8 stata aggiunta<\/a><\/noindex> disponibile anche in Chrome e curl, mentre per i server \u00e8 disponibile in forma  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/cloudflare\/quiche\/tree\/master\/extras\/nginx\">modulo<\/a><\/noindex> per nginx e <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/cloudflare\/quiche\/blob\/master\/examples\/http3-server.rs\">un server di test<\/a><\/noindex> basato sulla libreria <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/cloudflare\/quiche\">quiche<\/a><\/noindex> (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50061\">una realizzazione<\/a><\/noindex>  QUIC e HTTP\/3 in Rust sviluppata da Cloudflare). Per verificare il funzionamento dei client HTTP\/3 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/bagder.github.io\/HTTP3-test\/\">sono stati avviati<\/a><\/noindex> alcuni siti di test, la maggior parte dei quali al momento non si apre correttamente in Firefox (HTTP\/3 \u00e8 attualmente in fase di <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/datatracker.ietf.org\/doc\/draft-ietf-quic-http\/\">bozza di specifica<\/a><\/noindex> e non \u00e8 ancora standardizzato).<\/p>\n<p>Ricordiamo che HTTP\/3 standardizza l'uso del protocollo QUIC come trasporto per HTTP\/2. Il protocollo <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chromium.org\/quic\/\">QUIC<\/a><\/noindex> (Quick UDP Internet Connections) \u00e8 stato sviluppato da Google dal 2013 come alternativa alla combinazione TCP+TLS per il Web, affrontando problemi di elevato tempo di installazione e di negoziazione delle connessioni in TCP e eliminando i ritardi causati dalla perdita di pacchetti durante il trasferimento dei dati. QUIC \u00e8 un'estensione del protocollo UDP, che supporta la multiplexing di diverse connessioni e fornisce metodi di crittografia equivalenti a TLS\/SSL. <\/p>\n<p>Principali <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1lmL9EF6qKrk7gbazY8bIdvq3Pno2Xj_l_YShP40GLQE\/preview?sle=true#\">di rendering tramite WebGL e Canvas,<\/a><\/noindex> QUIC:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Elevata sicurezza, simile a TLS (essenzialmente QUIC offre la possibilit\u00e0 di utilizzare TLS sopra UDP);\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Controllo dell'integrit\u00e0 del flusso, che previene la perdita di pacchetti;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Possibilit\u00e0 di stabilire immediatamente una connessione (0-RTT, in circa il 75% dei casi i dati possono essere trasferiti subito dopo l'invio del pacchetto di apertura connessione) e garantire latenze minime tra l'invio della richiesta e la ricezione della risposta (RTT, Round Trip Time);\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Non utilizzo, durante la ritrasmissione, dello stesso numero di sequenza del pacchetto, il che consente di evitare ambiguit\u00e0 nella determinazione dei pacchetti ricevuti e di eliminare i timeout;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> La perdita di pacchetti influisce solo sulla consegna del flusso a essi associato e non interrompe la consegna dei dati nei flussi trasmessi parallelamente attraverso l'attuale connessione;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Strumenti di correzione degli errori, che minimizzano i ritardi dovuti alla ritrasmissione dei pacchetti persi. Utilizzo di codici speciali di correzione degli errori a livello di pacchetto per ridurre le situazioni che richiedono la ritrasmissione dei dati del pacchetto perso.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> I confini dei blocchi crittografici sono allineati con i confini dei pacchetti QUIC, riducendo l'impatto delle perdite di pacchetti sulla decodifica del contenuto dei pacchetti successivi;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Assenza di problemi di blocco della coda TCP;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporto per l'identificatore di connessione, che consente di ridurre i tempi per stabilire una nuova connessione per i clienti mobili;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Possibilit\u00e0 di connettere meccanismi avanzati di controllo del sovraccarico della connessione;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Utilizzo di tecniche di previsione della larghezza di banda in entrambe le direzioni per garantire un'intensit\u00e0 ottimale di invio dei pacchetti, evitando di scivolare in uno stato di sovraccarico, caratterizzato dalla perdita di pacchetti;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\">  Notevole <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/web.cs.wpi.edu\/~claypool\/ms\/quic\/quic-thesis.pdf\">incremento<\/a><\/noindex> della performance e della capacit\u00e0, rispetto a TCP. Per i servizi video, come YouTube, l'applicazione di QUIC ha mostrato una riduzione delle operazioni di ri-buffering durante la visione dei video del 30%.\n<\/ul>\n<p><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\"
