Gli specialisti di Trustwave, un'azienda specializzata nella sicurezza informatica, hanno segnalato una vasta campagna di invio di spam, utilizzata per installare su PC delle vittime un ransomware sotto forma di aggiornamenti per il sistema operativo Windows.<\/p>\n

\"Aggiornamenti<\/p>\n

Microsoft non invia mai email riguardanti l'aggiornamento di Windows. \u00c8 evidente che la nuova campagna di diffusione di malware \u00e8 diretta verso persone che non ne sono a conoscenza.<\/p>\n

Una fonte riporta che agli utenti vengono inviati messaggi con l'oggetto \u00abInstalla l'ultima aggiornamento di Microsoft Windows ora!\u00bb o \u00abAggiornamento critico di Microsoft Windows!\u00bb. Nel testo dell'email si sottolinea la necessit\u00e0 di installare rapidamente aggiornamenti importanti di Windows, presumibilmente allegati alla lettera. Il messaggio contiene effettivamente un file allegato, che sembra un'immagine in formato JPG, ma in realt\u00e0 \u00e8 un file eseguibile .NET. Se hai ricevuto un'email simile, non devi assolutamente eseguire quel file, poich\u00e9 ci\u00f2 porter\u00e0 a conseguenze indesiderate.<\/p>\n

\"Aggiornamenti<\/p>\n

Il fatto \u00e8 che il file allegato all'email \u00e8 un ransomware Cyborg, che crittografar\u00e0 tutti i file dell'utente, ne bloccher\u00e0 il contenuto e cambier\u00e0 l'estensione in .777. Come nel caso di altri ransomware, all'utente verr\u00e0 fornito un file di testo Cyborg_DECRYPT.txt, contenente istruzioni su come decrittografare i file. Non \u00e8 difficile intuire che all'utente viene chiesto di pagare per la decrittografia, ma \u00e8 meglio non affrettarsi a farlo, poich\u00e9 non c'\u00e8 alcuna garanzia che ci\u00f2 sia d'aiuto.<\/p>\n

Gli esperti consigliano di essere cauti con email sconosciute provenienti da persone e organizzazioni che non si conoscono. \u00c8 importante essere vigili e non aprire file allegati se non si \u00e8 certi della loro origine.  <\/p>\n
