Presentato<\/a><\/noindex> uscita dello strumento GNU Mes 0.21<\/a><\/noindex>, che fornisce il processo di bootstrap per GCC. Gli strumenti risolvono il problema della costruzione iniziale verificata del compilatore nelle distribuzioni, interrompendo la catena di ricostruzioni cicliche (per costruire il compilatore sono necessari i file eseguibili di un compilatore gi\u00e0 costruito). <\/p>\n

In GNU Mes si propone<\/a><\/noindex> un interprete autonomo (self-hosting) per il linguaggio Scheme, scritto in C, e il pi\u00f9 semplice compilatore per C (MesCC), scritto in Scheme. Entrambi i componenti sono reciprocamente compilabili. L'interprete Scheme permette di costruire il compilatore C MesCC, che a sua volta consente di costruire una versione ridotta del compilatore TinyCC<\/a><\/noindex> (tcc), le cui capacit\u00e0 sono gi\u00e0 sufficienti per costruire GCC. <\/p>\n

Nel nuovo rilascio \u00e8 stata aggiunta la possibilit\u00e0 parziale<\/a><\/noindex> (Reduced Binary Seed) di bootstrap della distribuzione Guix utilizzando la shell Gash<\/a><\/noindex> (Guile as Shell) invece di bash e Gash Core Utils al posto di coreutils, grep, sed, gzip, make, awk e tar, utilizzando solo componenti nel linguaggio Scheme. Nella nuova versione \u00e8 stato anche preparato un pacchetto con Mes per Debian GNU\/Linux.<\/p>\n

Nei prossimi rilasci \u00e8 prevista l'aggiunta del supporto per il bootstrap per NixOS, la possibilit\u00e0 di utilizzare dietlibc e uClibc per il bootstrap di GNU (bash, binutils, gcc, tar), supporto per l'architettura ARM, distribuzione Debian e kernel GNU Hurd, possibilit\u00e0 di compilare Mes.c utilizzando M2-Planet<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n
