L'organizzazione Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), che \u00e8 uno dei fondatori dell'autorit\u00e0 di certificazione no-profit Let's Encrypt, ha presentato<\/a><\/noindex> uscita dello strumento Certbot 1.0<\/a><\/noindex>, progettato per semplificare l'ottenimento di certificati TLS\/SSL e automatizzare la configurazione HTTPS sui server web. Certbot pu\u00f2 anche fungere da software client per interagire con diversi enti di certificazione che utilizzano il protocollo ACME. Il codice del progetto \u00e8 scritto in Python e \u00e8 distribuito<\/a><\/noindex> sotto licenza Apache 2.0.<\/p>\n

Certbot consente non solo di automatizzare l'ottenimento e l'aggiornamento dei certificati, ma anche di generare configurazioni pronte per instaurare HTTPS in Apache httpd, nginx e haproxy in vari ambienti di distribuzioni Linux e sistemi BSD, oltre a gestire il reindirizzamento delle richieste da HTTP a HTTPS. La chiave privata per il certificato viene generata sul lato utente. \u00c8 possibile revocare i certificati ottenuti in caso di compromissione del sistema.<\/p>\n
