Questi dati sono stati ottenuti analizzando i testi sorgente del kernel Linux. Attualmente ci sono \u00e8 presente<\/a><\/noindex> circa 4.000 commenti contrassegnati con «TODO». Questo indica varie lacune, modifiche pianificate in futuro, piani e «patch». Negli ultimi tempi, il loro numero \u00e8 cresciuto ininterrottamente, anche se si \u00e8 registrata una leggera diminuzione nelle prime build della quinta versione del kernel. Se gli sviluppatori iniziano a spendere tempo per correggere le volgarit\u00e0 nei commenti, questo potrebbe rallentare notevolmente il processo di sviluppo.<\/p>\n
