Il 16 gennaio \u00e8 stata rilasciata una versione importante di GNU Guile \u2014 un'implementazione integrata del linguaggio di programmazione Scheme, con supporto per multithreading, asincronia, operazioni di rete e chiamate di sistema POSIX, interfaccia binaria C, parsing PEG, REPL via rete, XML; ha il proprio sistema di programmazione orientata agli oggetti.<\/p>\n

La principale novit\u00e0 di questa versione \u00e8 il supporto completo per la compilazione JIT, che ha permesso di aumentare la velocit\u00e0 delle applicazioni di circa due volte, con punte massime di trentadue volte per il benchmark mbrot. Rispetto alla macchina virtuale Guile della precedente versione stabile, il set di istruzioni \u00e8 diventato pi\u00f9 a basso livello.<\/p>\n

Inoltre, \u00e8 stata migliorata la compatibilit\u00e0 con gli standard del linguaggio di programmazione Scheme R5RS e R7RS, e \u00e8 stato introdotto il supporto per eccezioni strutturate<\/a> e per l'alternanza tra dichiarazioni ed espressioni<\/a> all'interno del contesto lessicale.
