OpenWifi consente di creare un'implementazione completamente controllata di tutti i componenti di un dispositivo wireless, inclusi i livelli a basso livello, normalmente realizzati in adattatori wireless su chip non accessibili per auditing. Il codice <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/open-sdr\/openwifi\">dei componenti software<\/a><\/noindex>, e inoltre <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/open-sdr\/openwifi-hw\">schemi<\/a><\/noindex> (Verilog) blocchi hardware basati su FPGA sono rilasciati sotto la licenza AGPLv3.<\/p>\n<p>La componente hardware del prototipo funzionante mostrato \u00e8 basata su FPGA Xilinx Zynq e su un ricevitore e trasmettitore universale (RF) AD9361. L'interazione con lo SDR avviene tramite un driver specifico.<\/p>\n<p><center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/raw.githubusercontent.com\/open-sdr\/openwifi\/master\/openwifi-arch.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Il progetto OpenWifi sviluppa un chip Wi-Fi aperto basato su FPGA e SDR\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/fadc2762899cba1349ec245ced7e8ba0.jpg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Caratteristiche principali:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporto completo per 802.11a\/g e supporto parziale per 802.11n MCS 0~7 (per ora solo PHY rx). \u00c8 previsto il supporto per 802.11ax;\n<li class=\"l\"> Larghezza di banda di 20MHz e frequenza che va da 70 MHz a 6 GHz;\n<li class=\"l\"> Modalit\u00e0 operative: <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ru.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%D0%91%D0%B5%D1%81%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%B4%D0%BD%D0%B0%D1%8F_ad-hoc-%D1%81%D0%B5%D1%82%D1%8C\">Ad-hoc<\/a><\/noindex> (rete di dispositivi client), punto di accesso, stazione e monitoraggio;\n<li class=\"l\"> Implementazione sul lato FPGA del protocollo di livello collegamento <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ru.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Distributed_coordination_function\">DCF<\/a><\/noindex> (Distributed Coordination Function), che utilizza il metodo CSMA\/CA. Viene fornito un tempo di elaborazione del pacchetto (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Short_Interframe_Space\">SIFS<\/a><\/noindex>) a livello di 10us;\n<li class=\"l\"> Parametri configurabili per la priorit\u00e0 di accesso al canale: durata RTS\/CTS, CTS-to-self, SIFS, DIFS, xIFS, slot-time, ecc.\n<li class=\"l\">  Quantizzazione del tempo (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Time_slicing_(digital_broadcasting)\">Time slicing<\/a><\/noindex>) basata sull'indirizzo MAC;\n<li class=\"l\"> Larghezza di banda e frequenza facilmente modificabili:<br \/>\n        2MHz per 802.11ah e 10MHz per 802.11p;<\/p>\n<\/ul>\n<p><center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/pics_base\/0_1580822257.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Il progetto OpenWifi sviluppa un chip Wi-Fi aperto basato su FPGA e SDR\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/cda1122ebd4c40ca22bb54e4211687d1.jpg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Attualmente OpenWifi supporta <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/open-sdr\/openwifi-hw\">highlightsFromPoint()<\/a><\/noindex> SDR-platform basata su FPGA<br \/>\nXilinx ZC706 con trasmettitori-ricevitori Analog Devices FMCOMMS2\/3\/4, cos\u00ec come le combinazioni (FPGA + RF) ADRV9361Z7035 SOM + ADRV1CRR-BOB e ADRV9361Z7035 SOM + ADRV1CRR-FMC. \u00c8 stata preparata un'immagine <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/users.ugent.be\/~xjiao\/\">pronta per le schede SD basate su ARM Linux. Sono previsti supporti per le combinazioni ADRV9364Z7020 SOM + ADRV1CRR-BOB, Xilinx zed + FMCOMMS2\/3\/4, Xilinx ZCU102 + FMCOMMS2\/3\/4 e<\/a><\/noindex> Xilinx ZCU102 + ADRV9371. Il costo dei componenti utilizzati nel primo prototipo di OpenWifi \u00e8 stato di circa 1300 euro, ma \u00e8 in corso il porting su schede meno costose. Ad esempio, il costo della soluzione basata su<br \/>\nXilinx ZCU102 + ADRV9371.<\/p>\n<p>Il testing delle prestazioni della connessione client con l'adattatore USB TL-WDN4200 N900 al punto di accesso basato su openwifi ha consentito di raggiungere una capacit\u00e0 di 30,6 Mbps (TCP) e 38,8 Mbps (UDP) nella trasmissione dei dati dal punto di accesso al client e 17,0 Mbps (TCP) e 21,5 Mbps (UDP) nella trasmissione dal client al punto di accesso. Per la gestione possono essere utilizzati i tool di sistema di Linux, come ifconfig e iwconfig, cos\u00ec come il tool specializzato sdrctl, che funziona tramite netlink e consente di gestire le operazioni di SDR a basso livello (manipolare i registri, modificare le impostazioni di quantizzazione temporale, ecc.).<\/p>\n<p><center><video  controls=\"\" style=\"width: 640px; height: 400px; max-width:100%\"><source src=\"https:\/\/video.fosdem.org\/2020\/AW1.120\/fsr_openwifi.mp4\" type=\"video\/mp4\"><\/video><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><div class=\"youtube-placeholder\" data-id=\"NpjEaszd5u4\" onclick=\"loadVideo(this)\">\r\n        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.youtube.com\/vi\/NpjEaszd5u4\/hqdefault.jpg\" alt=\"Guarda il video\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" style=\"width:100%;height:auto;\">\r\n        <div class=\"play-button\"><\/div>\r\n    <\/div><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Tra gli altri progetti open source che sperimentano con lo stack Wi-Fi, si pu\u00f2 citare il progetto <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wime-project.net\/\">Wime<\/a><\/noindex>, che sviluppa un trasmettitore compatibile con IEEE 802.11 a\/g\/p <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/bastibl\/gr-ieee802-11\">basato su GNU Radio e un normale PC.
