Programma <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/mypaint\/mypaint\/\">distribuito<\/a><\/noindex> sotto licenza GPLv2, sviluppato in Python e C++ utilizzando il toolkit GTK3. Le versioni complete <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/mypaint.org\/downloads\/\">sono stati creati<\/a><\/noindex> per Linux (AppImage, Flatpak), Windows e macOS. <\/p>\n<p>MyPaint pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato da artisti specializzati nella pittura digitale e in alcune applicazioni pu\u00f2 competere con programmi proprietari di disegno riconosciuti <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.corel.com\/corel\/product\/index.jsp?pid=prod4030123&#038;cid=catalog20038&#038;segid=78\">Corel Painter<\/a><\/noindex> e <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.artrage.com\/\">Artrage<\/a><\/noindex>. Il programma ha un'interfaccia semplice e intuitiva e non si presenta come un editor grafico per l'elaborazione delle immagini. MyPaint offre un vasto set di pennelli che simulano in modo realistico strumenti artistici come matite, pitture ad olio, acquerelli, spatole e altri.
