Il progetto Loon per fornire accesso a Internet ad alta velocit\u00e0 tramite palloni aerostatici ha trovato un ampio sostegno nel settore tecnologico. Ricordiamo che la sua attuazione \u00e8 gestita dalla  «sussidiaria» del gruppo Alphabet Inc, Loon LLC, e dalla societ\u00e0 HAPSMobile, parte di SoftBank Group Corp.<\/p>\n

Alla fine di questa settimana, un gruppo di aziende nel campo delle telecomunicazioni, tecnologia, aviazione e aerospaziale, tra cui Airbus Defence and Space e Softbank Corp., ha annunciato la creazione di un partenariato denominato HAPS Alliance. L'obiettivo dichiarato dell'alleanza \u00e8 promuovere l'uso di veicoli aerei ad alta quota nella stratosfera terrestre per colmare il divario digitale e fornire accesso a Internet a un numero maggiore di persone nelle aree remote del pianeta.<\/p>\n

HAPSMobile, Loon, AeroVironment, Airbus Defense and Space, Bharti Airtel Limited, China Telecom Corporation, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, Intelsat, Nokia Corporation, SoftBank Corp. e Telefónica — tutte queste aziende si sono impegnate a unirsi all'alleanza HAPS Alliance, che era inizialmente un'iniziativa di HAPSMobile e Loon.<\/p>\n

L'alleanza ampliata \u00e8 volta a creare un ecosistema collaborativo di stazioni basate su piattaforme di telecomunicazione ad alta quota (HAPS) e promuovere una regolamentazione unificata e standard settoriali per i veicoli di trasporto ad alta quota, che trasferiscono attrezzature di rete su palloni (nel caso di Loon) e droni HAPSMobile. Entrambi i sistemi operano con energia solare.<\/p>\n

Loon ha gi\u00e0 concluso accordi con gli operatori di telecomunicazioni in Kenya<\/a><\/noindex> e Per\u00f9<\/a><\/noindex>. La sua tecnologia consente di fornire accesso a Internet a aree remote con bassa densit\u00e0 di popolazione o in zone montuose, e supporta il servizio in caso di calamit\u00e0 naturali.<\/p>\n

HAPSMobile, iniziativa del Chief Technology Officer di SoftBank Corp., Junichi Miyakawa, prevede di commercializzare i propri servizi nel 2023.<\/p>\n
