Inizialmente, il supporto per l'ottava versione della distribuzione era previsto fino al <strong>luglio 2020<\/strong> anno.<\/p>\n<p>Il supporto esteso sar\u00e0 fornito da <strong>Freexian<\/strong> nell'ambito del programma &laquo;LTS Extended&raquo;.<\/p>\n<p>Nell'ambito del supporto esteso della distribuzione, verr\u00e0 fornito supporto per un set limitato di pacchetti, che supportano solo due architetture &mdash; <strong>amd64<\/strong> e <strong>i386<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Il supporto per alcuni pacchetti non sar\u00e0 fornito, sar\u00e0 offerta una sostituzione:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Il kernel <strong>Linux 3.16<\/strong> sar\u00e0 sostituito da <strong>Linux 4.9<\/strong>, backportato dalla 9\u00aa versione della distribuzione<\/li>\n<li><strong>Openjdk-7<\/strong> sar\u00e0 sostituito da <strong>openjdk-8<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tomcat7<\/strong>  sar\u00e0 supportato solo fino al <strong>marzo 2021<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Per attivare il supporto, sar\u00e0 necessario specificare nel sources.list un repository speciale di Freexian. L'accesso al repository sar\u00e0 libero, e il numero di pacchetti in esso dipender\u00e0 dal numero di sponsor del progetto e dai pacchetti di cui hanno
