La tecnologia non solo consente di unire dischi rigidi e unit\u00e0 a stato solido in un'unica unit\u00e0 logica, ma offre anche i vantaggi di elevate velocit\u00e0 operative. Ci\u00f2 viene raggiunto grazie a software appropriato che analizza i dati, identifica quelli pi\u00f9 frequentemente utilizzati e li memorizza su un'unit\u00e0 pi\u00f9 veloce. Gli sviluppatori di AMD affermano che l'uso di StoreMI pu\u00f2 rendere l'avvio di Windows fino a 2,3 volte pi\u00f9 veloce. Per quanto riguarda le applicazioni e i giochi, i tempi di caricamento si riducono rispettivamente a 9,8 e 2,9 volte.<\/p>\n

A partire dal 31 marzo, il software StoreMI non sar\u00e0 pi\u00f9 disponibile per il download. Gli utenti che sono riusciti a scaricare StoreMI potranno continuare a utilizzare la tecnologia di unione dei dischi. Tuttavia, gli sviluppatori avvertono che le risorse dell'azienda verranno riallocate per creare un sostituto, quindi il supporto tecnico per l'attuale versione del software non sar\u00e0 fornito. AMD sconsiglia anche di scaricare StoreMI da fonti di terze parti, poich\u00e9 in tal caso non \u00e8 garantita la sicurezza del download.
