Per ELN verr\u00e0 preparato un nuovo buildroot e <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.pagure.org\/releng\/overview.html#release-composing\">il processo di build<\/a><\/noindex> per emulare la creazione di Red Hat Enterprise Linux basato su pacchetti con sorgenti dal repository Fedora. Il progetto \u00e8 pianificato per essere attuato nell'ambito del ciclo di sviluppo di Fedora 33. <\/p>\n<p><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/fedoraproject.org\/wiki\/ELN\">ELN<\/a><\/noindex> fornir\u00e0 un'infrastruttura che consente di raccogliere pacchetti Fedora utilizzando metodologie applicate in CentOS e RHEL, e dar\u00e0 la possibilit\u00e0 ai manutentori di pacchetti Fedora in fase iniziale di rilevare modifiche che potrebbero avere un impatto sulla sviluppo di RHEL. L'ELN permetter\u00e0 anche di verificare le modifiche previste nei blocchi condizionali nei file spec, cio\u00e8 di costruire un pacchetto attivando condizioni con la variabile '%{rhel}' impostata su '9' (la variabile '%{fedora}' dell'ELN restituir\u00e0 'false'), simulando una costruzione per la futura branch di RHEL. <\/p>\n<p>L'obiettivo finale \u00e8 ricreare il repository Fedora Rawhide come se fosse RHEL. Nell'ELN si prevede di ricostruire solo una piccola parte della raccolta di pacchetti Fedora, quella richiesta in CentOS Stream e RHEL. Le ricostruzioni riuscite dell'ELN saranno sincronizzate con le versioni interne di RHEL, aggiungendo ai pacchetti modifiche supplementari che non sono ammissibili in Fedora (come l'aggiunta di marchi registrati). I sviluppatori si impegneranno a ridurre al minimo le differenze tra l'ELN e RHEL Next, separandole a livello di condizionali nei file spec.<\/p>\n<p>Un'altra importante applicazione dell'ELN sar\u00e0 la possibilit\u00e0 di sperimentare con l'implementazione di nuove idee, senza influenzare le versioni principali di Fedora. In particolare, l'ELN sar\u00e0 utile per creare versioni di Fedora che riflettono <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/fedoraproject.org\/wiki\/Changes\/Additional_buildroot_to_test_x86-64_micro-architecture_update\">cessazione<\/a><\/noindex> il supporto per l'hardware obsoleto e l'abilitazione predefinita di estensioni CPU aggiuntive. Ad esempio, sar\u00e0 possibile creare parallelamente una versione di Fedora, specificando nei requisiti CPU il supporto obbligatorio per le istruzioni AVX2, per poi testare l'impatto delle prestazioni dell'uso di AVX2 nei pacchetti e prendere decisioni riguardo all'implementazione della modifica nel principale distributore di Fedora.<br \/>\nQuesti test sono rilevanti per il controllo dei pacchetti Fedora in un contesto di cambiamento delle esigenze delle architetture hardware, previsto nella prossima significativa versione di RHEL, senza bloccare il normale processo di creazione
