L'azienda Cloudflare ha lanciato<\/a><\/noindex> sito isBGPSafeYet.com<\/a><\/noindex>, progettato per richiamare l'attenzione sul problema delle fughe di BGP non corrette e sulla possibilit\u00e0 di attacchi attraverso il reindirizzamento del traffico utilizzando il protocollo BGP. Il sito consente di verificare l'implementazione da parte dei provider della tecnologia di filtraggio delle rotte errate e di valutare l'integrazione del supporto RPKI. <\/p>\n

Molti operatori rimangono vulnerabili all'arrivo di annunci BGP di sottoreti con informazioni fasulle sulla lunghezza del percorso, che indirizzano il traffico di transito attraverso provider esterni. Sempre pi\u00f9 frequentemente emergono casi di utilizzo del BGP per attacchi, in cui gli aggressori tramite la compromissione dell'infrastruttura dei provider organizzano il reindirizzamento e l'intercettazione del traffico per sostituire specifici siti attraverso la realizzazione di attacchi MiTM per sostituire le risposte DNS. <\/p>\n

La soluzione al problema \u00e8 l'implementazione di un sistema di autorizzazione degli annunci BGP basato su RPKI (Resource Public Key Infrastructure), che consente di determinare se l'annuncio BGP proviene dal proprietario della rete o meno. Utilizzando RPKI, per i sistemi autonomi e gli indirizzi IP, viene creata una catena di fiducia dall'IANA ai registri regionali (RIR) e poi ai fornitori (LIR) e ai consumatori finali, che consente a terzi di certificare che l'operazione con la risorsa sia stata eseguita dal suo proprietario. Purtroppo, nonostante i problemi, RPKI non \u00e8 ancora adottato dalla maggior parte dei provider. Il nuovo servizio di Cloudflare consente di monitorare gli operatori problematici e di attirare l'attenzione pubblica su di loro.
