Sviluppatori di OpenBSD hanno pubblicato<\/a><\/noindex> la prima versione pubblica dell'editor portatile del pacchetto rpki-client<\/a><\/noindex> con implementazione del meccanismo RPKI (Resource
\nPublic Key Infrastructure) per RP (Relying Parties<\/a><\/noindex>), utilizzato per autorizzare la fonte degli annunci BGP. RPKI<\/a><\/noindex> consente di determinare se un annuncio BGP proviene dal legittimo proprietario della rete, costruendo una catena di fiducia utilizzando un'infrastruttura a chiave pubblica per sistemi autonomi e indirizzi IP, che si estende da IANA ai registri regionali (RIRs), ai fornitori (LIR) e ai consumatori finali degli indirizzi. Programma rpki-client<\/a><\/noindex> permette di inviare una richiesta al repository RPKI e di generare un oggetto VRP (Validated ROA Payload), che conferma la fonte del percorso (ROA, Route Origin Authorization) in formato di configurazione dei pacchetti di routing OpenBGPD<\/a><\/noindex> e BIRD<\/a><\/noindex>, nonch\u00e9 nei formati CSV o JSON per l'uso in altri stack di routing. Per accedere al repository viene utilizzato lo strumento openrsync<\/a><\/noindex>, che estrae tutti i certificati X.509, i manifesti e le liste di revoca dei certificati. Poi
\nIl client rpki verifica ogni certificato associato a un ROA, costruendo e verificando l'intera catena di fiducia, valutando nel contempo le liste CRL per possibili revoche di certificati.<\/p>\n
