Azienda Collabora ha annunciato<\/a><\/noindex> promozione delle funzionalit\u00e0 del driver Panfrost<\/a><\/noindex> su dispositivi con GPU Bifrost (Mali G31<\/a><\/noindex>) in uno stato idoneo per eseguire sistemi di rendering 3D, inclusa la supporto base per le texture.
\nNella fase iniziale, il driver Panfrost si \u00e8 principalmente concentrato sulla realizzazione del supporto per i chip Midgard, ma ora l'attenzione si \u00e8 estesa anche ai chip Bifrost, che sono simili ai Midgard in termini di flusso di comandi, ma presentano differenze significative nelle istruzioni per eseguire shader e nelle interfacce tra shader e flusso di comandi.<\/p>\n

Gli sviluppatori hanno preparato un'implementazione iniziale del compilatore di shader, che supporta un insieme di istruzioni interne specifiche per GPU Bifrost. In futuro, si prevede di includere nel compilatore il supporto per istruzioni avanzate, che consentiranno la generazione di shader pi\u00f9 complessi.
