Questa soluzione si basa sullo standard IEEE 802.1BR (Bridge Port Extension) e, con il rilascio di EXOS 22.5, \u00e8 stato aggiunto il supporto per la nuova linea di hardware ExtremeSwitching V400.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\u00abExtreme Extended Edge\u00bb, o commutazione basata sullo standard IEEE 802.1BR\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ea282e49e9957cdd295691a0d945a049.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\n<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" name=\"habracut\"><\/a><\/noindex><br \/>\n\u00abVPEX Bridge\u00bb \u00e8 uno switch virtuale composto da componenti come \u2014 Controlling Bridge (CB) e Bridge Port Extender (BPE). Per garantire l'affidabilit\u00e0, \u00e8 possibile connettersi a due CB all'interno di uno stesso switch virtuale tramite la tecnologia MLAG. Il design di questo switch virtuale ricorda un classico switch in chassis o un insieme di switch. E se nella logica di funzionamento del \u00abControl Plane\u00bb ci\u00f2 \u00e8 abbastanza valido, la funzione del \u00abData Plane\u00bb \u00e8 significativamente diversa. Di conseguenza, tutto il traffico viene incapsulato fino al CB e, se necessario, il forwarding verso la porta adiacente dello stesso slot BPE viene restituito. (Il BPE riceve il pacchetto, aggiunge l'intestazione E-TAG e lo invia alla porta upstream)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nPer funzionare come BPE \u00e8 stata presentata una nuova piattaforma hardware ExtremeSwitching V400. Include moduli di espansione con 24\/48 porte 10\/100\/1000 Base-T con supporto PoE o senza. Le porte in cascata possono essere aggregate in LAG (fino a 4 porte per i modelli V400-48t\/p). Le stazioni finali possono essere collegate a diversi slot BPE tramite LAG.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\u00abExtreme Extended Edge\u00bb, o commutazione basata sullo standard IEEE 802.1BR\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/0fa7476e2c1edc2a1d26705f7db3d456.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\nLa rilevazione e il funzionamento del BPE si basano su protocolli come:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> LLDP \u2013 rilevazione iniziale e identificazione del tipo e delle capacit\u00e0 del dispositivo collegato<\/li>\n<li> ECP \u2013 'Edge Control Protocol' trasporto per PE-CSP<\/li>\n<li> PE-CSP \u2013 'Port Extender Control and Status Protocol' per la configurazione e il controllo del BPE con il Controlling Bridge<\/li>\n<li> LACP \u2013 installazione di LAG tra i porti \u00abcascade\u00bb  \u00abupstream\u00bb<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nSe viene utilizzato un design ridondante con due switch e MLAG, quando si riavvia un CB, il BPE continuer\u00e0 a inviare traffico attraverso il Controlling Bridge rimasto. Se invece l'unico CB viene riavviato, il BPE disabiliter\u00e0 amministrativamente le sue porte 'extended'. <br \/>\nPer facilitare la configurazione della topologia con 2 switch virtuali, \u00e8 stata aggiunta la possibilit\u00e0 di configurare le porte MLAG di entrambi i peer da uno qualsiasi degli switch. Questa modalit\u00e0 si chiama \"mlag orchestration\", in cui i peer sincronizzano parte della configurazione relativa alle impostazioni delle porte MLAG. La configurazione \u00e8 simile alla configurazione di \"virtual-router\" personalizzati.<\/p>\n<pre><code class=\"plaintext\">Slot-1 VPEX X670G2-48x-4q.11 # start orchestration mlag \"bottom\"\n(orchestration bottom) Slot-1 VPEX X670G2-48x-4q.12 # exit\nSlot-1 VPEX X670G2-48x-4q.13 #\n<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>\nLa funzionalit\u00e0 \"Controlling Bridge\" \u00e8 disponibile dopo l'installazione di un modulo gratuito per EXOS, che ha l'estensione .xmod. In questo stesso modulo sono contenuti i pacchetti di aggiornamento per il BPE. Quando gli switch virtuali e il BPE si rilevano a vicenda, il CB verifica la versione del firmware installato sul BPE e, se necessario, lo aggiorna automaticamente.<\/p>\n<p>Le caratteristiche di funzionamento sopra menzionate consentono di sostituire rapidamente e facilmente lo slot BPE in caso di necessit\u00e0. Poich\u00e9 gli slot BPE non memorizzano la configurazione e non sono in alcun modo legati al sistema, subito dopo la sostituzione del dispositivo e l'accensione, il BPE sar\u00e0 rilevato dallo switch virtuale e verr\u00e0 applicata la configurazione esistente, e, se necessario, verr\u00e0 aggiornato anche il firmware.<\/p>\n<p>Questa soluzione \u00e8 ideale per reti con una direzione predominante Nord\/Sud, come le reti di campus, le reti aziendali nei settori della logistica, dell'istruzione, nei centri business e altro ancora. E ribadiamo che i vantaggi delle reti costruite sulla soluzione \u00abExtreme Extended Edge\u00bb saranno:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Riduzione dei livelli dell'architettura di rete tradizionale in termini di configurazione e gestione<\/li>\n<li> Facilit\u00e0 di scalabilit\u00e0 e distribuzione<\/li>\n<li> Non \u00e8 necessario avere collegamenti di console dedicati o OOV Mgmt agli slot VRE <\/li>\n<li> Riduzione della licenza (se necessario, si applicano solo sui SW)<\/li>\n<li> Unico punto di configurazione, monitoraggio e troubleshooting<\/li>\n<li> Visualizzazione in NMS come un unico
