La prima versione della branch Mesa 20.1.0 ha uno stato sperimentale \u2014 dopo la finalizzazione della stabilizzazione del codice, sar\u00e0 rilasciata la versione stabile 20.1.1. In Mesa 20.1 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/mesamatrix.net\/\">\u00e8 stata realizzata<\/a><\/noindex> full supporto di OpenGL 4.6 per GPU Intel (driver i965, iris) e AMD (radeonsi), supporto di OpenGL 4.5 per GPU AMD (r600) e NVIDIA (nvc0), OpenGL 4.3 per virgl (GPU virtuale per QEMU\/KVM), cos\u00ec come supporto Vulkan 1.2 per schede Intel e AMD. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=37456\">Virgil3D<\/a><\/noindex> per QEMU\/KVM), e supporto per Vulkan 1.2 per schede Intel e AMD. <\/p>\n<p><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phoronix.com\/scan.php?page=news_item&#038;px=Mesa-20.1-Features\">Tra<\/a><\/noindex> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/tree\/docs\/relnotes\/20.1.0.html\">le modifiche<\/a><\/noindex>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=9bc5b2d169d3a3c9d52fc30987eaba52e3b7dc00\">Aggiunto<\/a><\/noindex> una strato per la selezione del dispositivo attivo per l'API Vulkan nei sistemi con pi\u00f9 GPU che supportano Vulkan, funzionante in modo simile a DRI_PRIME per OpenGL. Per selezionare il driver attivo e la GPU \u00e8 prevista la variabile ambiente MESA_VK_DEVICE_SELECT (se non impostata viene usata DRI_PRIME).\n<li class=\"l\"> Nei driver i965 e iris per GPU Intel \u00e8 stata aggiunta la supporto per i chip attesi l'anno prossimo basati sulla nuova microarchitettura <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rocket_Lake\">Rocket Lake<\/a><\/noindex>.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nello sviluppo del driver Vulkan ANV per GPU Intel <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=76d2772472037b2b9922f748170bebbce0b2a1de\">aggiunta<\/a><\/noindex> ottimizzazione per i chip basati sulla microarchitettura Icelake (Gen11), che consente l'uso di colori puri durante il texturing. Nei test di Dota2, il cambiamento ha ridotto il numero di operazioni di conversione dei colori del 95% e ha aumentato le prestazioni del 3,5%.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel driver Vulkan ANV <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=5dfd83d7a1ce52a42485c54ca170311449379eb9\">\u00e8 aumentato<\/a><\/noindex> l'efficienza dell'uso della cache sui sistemi con chip Intel Ivybridge e Haswell. L'uso di test delle funzioni computazionali Vulkan dal set Geekbench 5 ha mostrato un incremento delle prestazioni del 330% su hardware Haswell GT3 (l'incremento \u00e8 dovuto al fatto che la cache non veniva utilizzata in alcune condizioni).\n<li class=\"l\"> Nei driver per GPU Intel (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=5d7e9edba1876523f75c74362242aaa56629fba5\">i965<\/a><\/noindex>, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=4151d843236ab350a70d8e13e4e7c79d11ec7bb6\">iris<\/a><\/noindex>) <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=74ec39f66d506c78ee62a685b7fa055faa0991b9\">\u00e8 stato aggiunto<\/a><\/noindex> la modalit\u00e0 \u00abbuco nero\u00bb (estensione OpenGL INTEL_blackhole_render), che disabilita tutte le operazioni di rendering inviate alla GPU, ma mantiene l'elaborazione delle operazioni OpenGL.\n<li class=\"l\"> Per i chip grafici Intel \u00e8 stata portata una precedente aggiunta per i chip AMD a supporto della vettorizzazione <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/people.freedesktop.org\/~cwabbott0\/nir-docs\/intro.html\">NIR<\/a><\/noindex>, una rappresentazione intermedia (IR) senza tipo degli shader, mirata a lavorare al livello pi\u00f9 basso, sotto GLSL IR e l'IR interno di Mesa. Da un punto di vista pratico, grazie a un'ottimizzazione migliore degli shader, il cambiamento ha permesso di aumentare le prestazioni di OpenGL e Vulkan in molti giochi su sistemi con GPU Intel. Ad esempio, nel gioco<br \/>\n    Rise of the Tomb Raider <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=991c4261604b136cac0770c7d6c7345ea134129c\">si segnala<\/a><\/noindex> c'\u00e8 un incremento delle prestazioni del 3%, mentre in Shadow of the Tomb Raider \u00e8 del 10%.<\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> Il backend per la compilazione degli shader \u00ab<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51026\">ACO<\/a><\/noindex>\u00bb, sviluppato da Valve come alternativa al compilatore di shader LLVM, per GPU GFX9+ \u00e8 stata aggiunta la supporto per il tipo shaderInt16, che consente l'uso di numeri interi a 16 bit nel codice degli shader. Per<br \/>\nGPU AMD Navi (GFX10) <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=c24d9522daefce112b7a9d03a6d1abdf60f02656\">assicurato<\/a><\/noindex> l'applicazione dei motori NGG (Next-Gen Geometry) durante l'uso di shader di vertice e tessellazione.<\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> Per GPU AMD Navi 12 e Navi 14 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=22a4cb4937d40d3dbd34129c8c0e6cf8673c8f95\">\u00e8 inclusa<\/a><\/noindex> supporto per la modalit\u00e0 DCC visualizzata (Delta Color Compression), che permette di lavorare con dati di colore compressi durante l'organizzazione dell'output sullo schermo.\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/-\/merge_requests\/3225\">Aggiunto<\/a><\/noindex> supporto sperimentale NIR per il driver Gallium3D classico R600 (AMD Radeon HD 2000-6000) con supporto per shader geometrici, frammenti, vertici e <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=6747a984f59ea9a2dd74b98d59cb8fdb028969ae\">tessellazione<\/a><\/noindex> shader.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel driver Vulkan RADV <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=7a0a6a718035e1a754972fbbad8b91d19f39fa42\">\u00e8 stato aggiunto<\/a><\/noindex> una patch attraverso l'ottimizzazione della gestione della memoria aumenta le prestazioni dei giochi Id Tech sui sistemi con APU AMD.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel driver Panfrost <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=52445\">\u00e8 stata realizzata<\/a><\/noindex> supporto sperimentale per OpenGL ES 3.0 e <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=52795\">\u00e8 stata garantita<\/a><\/noindex> supporto per il rendering 3D per GPU Bifrost (Mali G31). \u00c8 stata preparata una prima implementazione del compilatore di shader che supporta un set specifico di istruzioni interne per GPU Bifrost.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel driver Vulkan TURNIP, sviluppato per GPU Qualcomm Adreno, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=d64a7d6e69a827633526c0279b3ceaf012e355c9\">aggiunta<\/a><\/noindex> supporto per shader geometrici e <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=c3ef0275c49845f91a3f5d97088954a6d9b877d2\">chip Adreno 650<\/a><\/noindex>.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel driver Gallium3D LLVMpipe, che fornisce il rendering software, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=eb5227173f0354aade28e46397a5bb69b2af69fb\">\u00e8 stata introdotta<\/a><\/noindex> il supporto per i tessellatori di shader.\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/log\/?id=0c6a667d9394c7bf0f5adef4320fd912653950af&#038;qt=grep&#038;q=glthread\">\u00c8 stata apportata<\/a><\/noindex> una grande <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/-\/merge_requests\/4466\">quantit\u00e0<\/a><\/noindex> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/-\/merge_requests\/4314\">ottimizzazioni<\/a><\/noindex> di modifiche a glthread (implementazione multithread di OpenGL). Dopo queste modifiche, le prestazioni del simulatore di corse Torcs sono aumentate del 16% nella configurazione predefinita e del 40% con glthread attivo.\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/mesa\/mesa\/commit\/?id=0c6a667d9394c7bf0f5adef4320fd912653950af\">Aggiunto<\/a><\/noindex> l'opzione allow_draw_out_of_order (attivabile tramite driconf) per abilitare le ottimizzazioni per velocizzare le operazioni di rendering disordinate, tipiche di CAD. Con questa opzione attivata, nel test Viewperf11 Catia si osserva un'accelerazione del 7%.\n<li class=\"l\">Aggiunte nuove estensioni OpenGL:\n<ul>\n<li><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\"
