Monado offre un runtime completamente conforme ai requisiti di OpenXR, che pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato per gestire la realt\u00e0 virtuale e aumentata su smartphone, tablet, PC e qualsiasi altro dispositivo. Lo standard OpenXR \u00e8 stato sviluppato dal consorzio Khronos e definisce un'API universale per la creazione di applicazioni di realt\u00e0 virtuale e aumentata, oltre a un insieme di strati per l'interazione con l'hardware, astraggendo le caratteristiche dei dispositivi specifici. Il codice del progetto \u00e8 scritto in linguaggio C e <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.freedesktop.org\/monado\/monado\">\u00e8 distribuito<\/a><\/noindex> sotto la licenza libera Boost Software License 1.0, compatibile con GPL.<\/p>\n<p>Tra i miglioramenti aggiunti:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel server composito \u00e8 stata aggiunta la supporto per il rendering a pi\u00f9 strati, consentendo alle applicazioni di posizionare pi\u00f9 strutture <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.khronos.org\/registry\/OpenXR\/specs\/0.90\/man\/html\/XrCompositionLayerProjection.html\">XrCompositionLayerProjection<\/a><\/noindex> e  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.khronos.org\/registry\/OpenXR\/specs\/1.0\/man\/html\/XrCompositionLayerQuad.html\">XrCompositionLayerQuad<\/a><\/noindex>.
