Il progetto \u00e8 adatto all'uso su dispositivi embedded ed \u00e8 ottimizzato per un consumo ridotto di memoria e spazio su disco. IWD non utilizza librerie esterne e si basa solo sulle funzionalit\u00e0 offerte dal kernel Linux presente (\u00e8 sufficiente avere il kernel Linux e Glibc).
