Azienda Canonical ha presentato<\/a><\/noindex> progetto Ubuntu Appliance<\/a><\/noindex>, nell'ambito del quale sono state rese disponibili build completamente configurate di Ubuntu, ottimizzate per il rapido deployment di server handler pronti su Raspberry Pi o PC. Al momento sono disponibili build per l'esecuzione di storage cloud e piattaforme di collaborazione NextCloud<\/a><\/noindex>, broker MQTT Mosquitto<\/a><\/noindex>, server multimediale Plex<\/a><\/noindex>, piattaforma di automazione domestica OpenHAB<\/a><\/noindex> e server DNS per il filtraggio della pubblicit\u00e0 AdGuard<\/a><\/noindex>. Le build consentono di trasformare con pochi sforzi qualsiasi PC o scheda Raspberry Pi in un sistema server focalizzato su compiti specifici, con aggiornamenti e manutenzione che avvengono in modo automatico.<\/p>\n

Le build sono basate su Ubuntu Core<\/a><\/noindex> e pacchetti snap a tema preconfigurati. Ubuntu Core \u00e8 una versione compatta della distribuzione Ubuntu, che utilizza un modello di costruzione monolitico dell'immagine di base al posto dei tradizionali pacchetti deb, su cui vengono eseguite estensioni autosufficienti in formato snap. La piattaforma utilizza un meccanismo di aggiornamento atomico per i pacchetti snap e per il sistema di base. Per garantire la sicurezza, ogni componente del sistema viene verificato tramite firma digitale, il che protegge la distribuzione da modifiche nascoste o dall'installazione di pacchetti snap non verificati. I componenti forniti in formato Snap sono isolati tramite AppArmor e Seccomp, e il filesystem di base \u00e8 montato in modalit\u00e0 di sola lettura. Gli aggiornamenti vengono rilasciati regolarmente e consegnati in modalit\u00e0 OTA (over-the-air).<\/p>\n
