Nella base di codice utilizzata per la generazione della versione Mesa 20.2, \u00e8 stato effettuato<\/a><\/noindex> switching RADV, Vulkan driver for AMD chips, to use the backend for shader compilation by default «ACO<\/a><\/noindex>«, which is being developed by Valve as an alternative to the LLVM shader compiler. This change will lead to improved game performance and reduced loading times. To revert to the old backend, the environment variable «RADV_DEBUG=llvm» is provided.<\/p>\n

L'ACO \u00e8 scritto in C++ ed \u00e8 sviluppato tenendo conto della possibilit\u00e0 di utilizzo per la compilazione JIT, impiegando strutture dati veloci per la scansione, evitando strutture basate su puntatori. La rappresentazione intermedia del codice si basa completamente su SSA (Static Single Assignment) e consente la distribuzione dei registri, calcolando precisamente il registro in base allo shader. <\/p>\n

Nota: Attualmente l'ACO funziona solo per il driver Vulkan Mesa RADV.
