Per PostgreSQL \u00e8 stato proposto<\/a><\/noindex> un'estensione AGE (AgensGraph-Extension) con implementazione del linguaggio di query openCypher<\/a><\/noindex> per la manipolazione di insiemi di dati gerarchici interconnessi che formano un grafo. Invece di colonne e righe, i database orientati ai grafi utilizzano una struttura simile a una rete: vengono definiti nodi, le loro propriet\u00e0 e le relazioni tra i nodi. AGE \u00e8 distribuito<\/a><\/noindex> \u00e8 sotto licenza Apache 2.0, ceduto dall'azienda Bitnine sotto il patrocinio della Apache Foundation e attualmente posto nell'incubatore Apache. <\/p>\n

Il progetto continua lo sviluppo del DBMS AgensGraph<\/a><\/noindex>, che rappresenta<\/a><\/noindex> \u00e8 una modifica ottimizzata di PostgreSQL per il trattamento dei grafi. La principale differenza \u00e8 l'implementazione di AGE come estensione universale che funge da sovrastruttura sui rilasci standard di PostgreSQL. Il rilascio pubblicato di recente Apache AGE 0.2.0<\/a><\/noindex> supporta l'uso con PostgreSQL 11.<\/p>\n

Nello stato attuale AGE supporta<\/a><\/noindex> le capacit\u00e0 del linguaggio di query Cypher, come l'uso dell'espressione \u00abCREATE\u00bb per definire nodi e relazioni, l'espressione \u00abMATCH\u00bb per la ricerca di dati nel grafo in base a condizioni specificate (WHERE), nell'ordine specificato (ORDER BY) e con limitazioni impostate (SKIP, LIMIT). L'insieme di dati risultante restituito dalla query \u00e8 definito mediante l'espressione \u00abRETURN\u00bb. Per unire pi\u00f9 query in una catena \u00e8 disponibile l'espressione \u00abWITH\u00bb. <\/p>\n

\u00c8 possibile creare DB multimodello che combinano modelli di archiviazione gerarchici in forma di grafo, il modello relazionale e il modello di archiviazione dei documenti in formato JSON. \u00c8 supportata l'esecuzione di query integrate che includono elementi dei linguaggi SQL e Cypher.
\n\u00c8 possibile creare indici per le propriet\u00e0 dei nodi e dei bordi del grafo.
\nPer l'uso \u00e8 stato proposto un insieme esteso di tipi Agtype, comprendente tipi per bordi, nodi e percorsi nel grafo. Le espressioni aggregate non sono ancora implementate. Tra le funzioni specializzate disponibili ci sono: id, start_id, end_id, type, properties, head, last, length, size, startNode, endNode, timestamp, toBoolean, toFloat, toInteger e coalesce. <\/p>\n
