Il sistema \u00e8 progettato per affrontare compiti come il supporto ai servizi di assistenza tecnica (help desk), la gestione delle risposte alle richieste dei clienti (telefonate, email), il coordinamento della fornitura di servizi IT aziendali, la gestione delle richieste nel servizio vendite e nei servizi finanziari. Il codice di OTOBO \u00e8 scritto in Perl e <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/RotherOSS\/otobo\">distribuito<\/a><\/noindex> sott Licenza GPLv3.<\/p>\n<p>Stefan Rother, attualmente fondatore e amministratore delegato di Rother OSS, si \u00e8 unito a OTRS GmbH (oggi OTRS AG) nel 2004. Nel 2011 ha fondato la propria azienda Rother OSS. Entro il 2019, Rother OSS si \u00e8 concentrata sulla fornitura di servizi commerciali legati alle varianti di OTRS open source. In risposta alla cambiata strategia di rilascio di OTRS AG e ai ritardi nella pubblicazione di nuove versioni della OTRS Community Edition, Rother OSS ha iniziato lo sviluppo del sistema di ticket OTOBO (Open Ticket Ours Based Otrs) basato su OTRS versione 6. Il concetto di business di OTOBO \u00e8 quello di supportare gli utenti aziendali, offrendo consulenze e formazione. Per l'installazione <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/otobo.de\/en\/otobo-download\/\">\u00e8 disponibile<\/a><\/noindex> sia come pacchetto di installazione che come immagini Docker. Sono disponibili anche servizi di hosting.
