Questo dispositivo si connette alle porte HDMI\/VGA e USB del server, consentendo di gestirlo da remoto, indipendentemente dal sistema operativo. \u00c8 possibile accendere, spegnere o riavviare il server, accedere al BIOS e persino reinstallare completamente il sistema operativo da un'immagine avviabile: Pi-KVM pu\u00f2 emulare un'unit\u00e0 CD-ROM e una chiavetta USB.<\/p>\n<p>Il numero di componenti necessarie, oltre al Raspberry Pi stesso, \u00e8 minimo, permettendo di assemblarlo in pochi minuti, mentre il costo totale sar\u00e0 di circa 100$, anche nella configurazione pi\u00f9 costosa (mentre molti IP-KVM proprietari, con meno funzionalit\u00e0, costeranno da 500$ in su).<\/p>\n<p>Funzionalit\u00e0 principali:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accesso al server tramite interfaccia web di un normale browser o client VNC (niente applet Java o plugin Flash);<\/li>\n<li>Bassa latenza video (circa 100 millisecondi) e alta frequenza di aggiornamento;<\/li>\n<li>Emulazione completa della tastiera e del mouse (inclusi LED e scorrimento con la rotellina\/touchpad);<\/li>\n<li>Emulazione CD-ROM e USB (\u00e8 possibile caricare pi\u00f9 immagini e collegarle all'occorrenza);<\/li>\n<li>Gestione dell'alimentazione del server tramite i pin ATX sulla scheda madre o tramite Wake-on-LAN; supportato IPMI BMC per integrazione nell'infrastruttura di rete esistente;<\/li>\n<li>Meccanismi di autenticazione estensibili: dalla semplice autenticazione tramite password alla possibilit\u00e0 di utilizzare un server di autenticazione centralizzato e PAM.<\/li>\n<li>Ampio supporto hardware: Raspberry Pi 2, 3, 4 o ZeroW; diversi dispositivi di acquisizione video;<\/li>\n<li>Toolchain semplice e user-friendly che consente di compilare e installare il sistema operativo sulla scheda SD del Raspberry Pi con solo un paio di comandi.<\/li>\n<p><noindex><\/p>\n<li>\u2026 <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/pikvm\/pikvm\">E molto altro<\/a>.<\/li>\n<p><\/noindex>\n<\/ul>\n<p><noindex><\/p>\n<p>\u00c8 inoltre in arrivo una scheda di espansione speciale per Raspberry Pi 4, che implementa tutte le funzionalit\u00e0 descritte, oltre a molte altre possibilit\u00e0 (maggiori dettagli su <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/pikvm\/pikvm\">GitHub<\/a>).
