Nella nuova versione aggiunta<\/a><\/noindex> supporto all'estensione X11 XRes<\/a><\/noindex> (X-Resource), che \u00e8 attivato<\/a><\/noindex> per richiedere al server X informazioni sul PID dell'applicazione avviata utilizzando meccanismi di isolamento sandbox. Il supporto XRes risolve il problema della terminazione forzata di processi client bloccati, il cui PID non pu\u00f2 essere ottenuto tramite la propriet\u00e0 _NET_WM_PID, poich\u00e9 riflette l'identificativo del processo all'interno di un ambiente isolato, che pu\u00f2 differire dall'identificativo nello spazio dei nomi globale. <\/p>\n

Ad esempio, utilizzando glx, la riproduzione di video 4K in mpv carica la GPU al 70% in modalit\u00e0 alta qualit\u00e0 e al 50% in modalit\u00e0 bassa qualit\u00e0, mentre il carico utilizzando XPresent scende al 50% e 30% rispettivamente, influenzando notevolmente il consumo energetico e le prestazioni.
