L'azienda Mozilla ha presentato<\/a><\/noindex> nuova versione del browser per i sistemi di realt\u00e0 virtuale \u2014 Firefox Reality PC Preview<\/a><\/noindex>. Il browser supporta tutte le funzionalit\u00e0 di Firefox per la privacy, ma offre un'interfaccia utente tridimensionale diversa, che consente di navigare tra i siti all'interno del mondo virtuale o in sistemi di realt\u00e0 aumentata. Le versioni sono disponibili<\/a><\/noindex> sono disponibili per l'installazione tramite il catalogo HTC Viveport (attualmente solo per Windows 10). Funziona con tutti i visori 3D supportati dalla piattaforma Viveport, inclusi Vive Cosmos, Vive Pro, Valve Index, Oculus Rift e Oculus Rift S.<\/p>\n

A differenza dell'edizione principale Firefox Reality<\/a><\/noindex>, che supporta il funzionamento su dispositivi Android, la versione di Firefox Reality PC \u00e8 orientata alle piattaforme di realt\u00e0 virtuale collegate ai computer. Oltre all'interfaccia pensata per la gestione tramite visore 3D, che consente di visualizzare pagine tradizionali in due dimensioni, il browser offre agli sviluppatori web API WebXR e WebVR con estensioni VR per WebGL e CSS, permettendo di creare applicazioni web tridimensionali specializzate per l'interazione nello spazio virtuale e di realizzare nuovi metodi di navigazione 3D, meccanismi di input e interfacce per la ricerca di informazioni. Inoltre, supporta la visualizzazione in visore 3D di video spaziali registrati in modalit\u00e0 360 gradi. Il controllo avviene tramite controller VR, mentre l'immissione di dati nei moduli web avviene tramite tastiera virtuale o reale.<\/p>\n
