Questo \u00e8 l'aggiornamento finale che include modifiche orientate a migliorare il supporto hardware, l'aggiornamento del kernel Linux e del stack grafico, e la risoluzione di bug nell'installer e nel bootloader. Sono stati aggiornati i componenti dello stack grafico, inclusi quelli portati da <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=52791\">Ubuntu 20.04<\/a><\/noindex>  nuove versioni di Mesa 20.0, X.Org Server e driver video per chip Intel, AMD e NVIDIA. \u00c8 stata aggiunta la compatibilit\u00e0 con la scheda Raspberry Pi 4 con 8 GB di RAM.<br \/>\nLe versioni dei pacchetti snapd, curtin, ceph, cloud-init sono state aggiornate.<\/p>\n<p>Il rilascio di Ubuntu 18.04.5 si configura come transitorio e include componenti per l'aggiornamento alla versione Ubuntu 20.04.1. Utilizzare questa versione ha senso solo per nuove installazioni, ma per nuovi sistemi \u00e8 pi\u00f9 rilevante il rilascio <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=53501\">Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS<\/a><\/noindex>, che ha gi\u00e0 superato la prima fase di stabilizzazione dopo il rilascio del nuovo ramo LTS. I sistemi installati in precedenza possono ricevere tutte le modifiche presenti in Ubuntu 18.04.5 tramite il normale sistema di aggiornamento. Il supporto per il rilascio di aggiornamenti e correzioni di problemi di sicurezza per le edizioni server e desktop di Ubuntu 18.04 LTS continuer\u00e0 fino ad aprile 2023, dopo di che ci saranno ulteriori 5 anni. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=49615\">saranno programmati<\/a><\/noindex> aggiornamenti nell'ambito di un supporto a pagamento separato (ESM, Extended Security Maintenance).<\/p>\n<p>Simultaneamente <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/lists.ubuntu.com\/archives\/ubuntu-announce\/2020-August\/000261.html\">\u00e8 stato compilato<\/a><\/noindex> aggiornamento della precedente LTS del sistema operativo Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS, che include solo gli aggiornamenti accumulati dei pacchetti relativi all'eliminazione delle vulnerabilit\u00e0 e ai problemi che influenzano la stabilit\u00e0. L'obiettivo principale di questa nuova versione \u00e8 l'aggiornamento delle immagini di installazione. Come nel rilascio precedente, sono disponibili i kernel Linux 4.15 e 4.4, insieme alle versioni portate da Ubuntu 18.04 di Mesa, X.Org Server e i driver video per chip Intel, AMD e NVIDIA.
