L'evento si svolger\u00e0 dal 31 agosto al 7 settembre 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Durante la &laquo;Test Week&raquo;, tutti sono invitati a testare la prossima versione di Fedora 33 e inviare i risultati agli sviluppatori della distribuzione.<\/p>\n<p><noindex><noindex><\/p>\n<p>Per il testing \u00e8 necessario installare il sistema e svolgere alcune operazioni standard. Successivamente, \u00e8 necessario riportare i risultati tramite un apposito <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/testdays.fedorainfracloud.org\/events\/92\">il modulo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><\/noindex><br \/>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p>Secondo <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/fedoraproject.org\/wiki\/Test_Day:2020-08-31_Btrfs_default\">wiki<\/a> modulo. \u00c8 consentito eseguire i test in una macchina virtuale. Sono disponibili build per le architetture x86 e aarch64.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><\/p>\n<p>Il principale focus della settimana in arrivo \u00e8 su Btrfs. In Fedora 33, questo file system sar\u00e0 offerto dall'installatore come predefinito. Nelle versioni precedenti di Fedora, il file system di default era ext4.<\/p>\n<p>Tra le caratteristiche di Btrfs rispetto ad ext4, vale la pena notare le seguenti:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Copy-on-write. Nel caso del file system ext4, i nuovi dati vengono scritti sopra quelli vecchi. Btrfs consente di scrivere nuovi dati, mantenendo intatti quelli vecchi. Questo offre la possibilit\u00e0 di ripristinare il sistema o i dati in caso di guasto.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Snapshots. Questa tecnologia consente di creare un \u201csnapshot\u201d del file system per eventuali ripristini delle modifiche.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Subvolumi. Il file system Btrfs pu\u00f2 essere suddiviso in cosiddetti subvolumi.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Supporto per la compressione, che non solo consente di comprimere i file, ma riduce anche il numero di
