Disponibile<\/a><\/noindex> il rilascio del progetto EndeavourOS 2020.09.20<\/a><\/noindex>, che ha sostituito<\/a><\/noindex> la distribuzione Antergos, il cui sviluppo \u00e8 stato terminato<\/a><\/noindex> interrotto nel maggio 2019 a causa della mancanza di tempo libero da parte dei restanti manutentori per mantenere il progetto a un livello adeguato. La distribuzione offre un semplice installer per installare un ambiente di base di Arch Linux con il desktop Xfce predefinito e la possibilit\u00e0 di installare uno dei 9 desktop predefiniti basati su i3-wm, Openbox, Mate, Cinnamon, GNOME, Deepin, Budgie e KDE. Endeavour OS consente all'utente di installare Arch Linux con il desktop necessario senza complicazioni, nel modo in cui \u00e8 stato concepito dai progettisti del desktop scelto, senza programmi preinstallati aggiuntivi. In questo nuovo rilascio sono iniziati i lavori per creare versioni per diverse schede basate su processori con architettura ARM. Le versioni sono basate su Arch Linux ARM e sono state testate su schede Odroid N2,
\n Odroid N2+, Odroid XU4 e Raspberry PI 4b, ma possono essere utilizzate anche su altre schede e dispositivi supportati in Arch Linux ARM<\/a><\/noindex>, inclusi Pinebook Pro,
\n Pine64 e Rock64. A parte Deepin per ARM, tutti gli ambienti desktop forniti in EndeavourOS sono disponibili: Xfce, LXqt, Mate, Cinnamon, GNOME, Budgie, KDE Plasma e i3-WM.<\/p>\n

Tra le principali novit\u00e0, si segnala l'aggiornamento delle versioni software. Il kernel Linux \u00e8 stato aggiornato alla versione 5.8.10. Sono state notevolmente ampliate le funzionalit\u00e0 del programma Welcome, che accoglie l'utente all'accesso al sistema. La nuova versione include un pulsante per cambiare la risoluzione dello schermo, aggiornare l'elenco dei mirror, cambiare gli sfondi del desktop e visualizzare i pacchetti nei repository ufficiali di Arch e nell'AUR. Sono state apportate modifiche all'installatore. \u00c8 stata interrotta l'installazione dei gestori di applicazioni GNOME Software e KDE Discover, che non venivano utilizzati in EndeavourOS ma confondevano gli utenti.<\/p>\n
