Presentato<\/a><\/noindex> rilascio del server display Mir 2.1<\/a><\/noindex>, il cui sviluppo \u00e8 ancora in corso da parte di Canonical, nonostante l'abbandono dello sviluppo dell'interfaccia Unity e dell'edizione di Ubuntu per smartphone. Mir rimane richiesto nei progetti di Canonical e ora \u00e8 posizionato come soluzione per dispositivi embedded e Internet delle cose (IoT). Mir pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato come server composito per Wayland, consentendo l'esecuzione di qualsiasi applicazione che utilizza Wayland (ad esempio, quelle sviluppate con GTK3\/4, Qt5 o SDL2) in ambienti basati su Mir. I pacchetti per l'installazione sono disponibili per Ubuntu 18.04-20.10 (PPA<\/a><\/noindex>) e Fedora 30\/31\/32<\/a><\/noindex>. Il supporto per linux-dmabuf ha risolto problemi di rendering sulle schede Raspberry Pi 4, mentre wlr-foreign-toplevel-management ha ampliato le capacit\u00e0 dell'ambiente desktop. \u00c8 stata aggiornata l'implementazione del protocollo wlr_layer_shell_v1<\/a><\/noindex>, proposto dagli sviluppatori dell'ambiente desktop Sway, e utilizzato nel processo di porting dell'ambiente MATE su Wayland. <\/p>\n

Tra i cambiamenti non direttamente correlati a Wayland, si segnalano il supporto per la scheda Raspberry Pi 4, la risoluzione di problemi di prestazioni nella piattaforma Mir-on-Wayland, miglioramenti all'avvio delle applicazioni X11 tramite Xwayland e la possibilit\u00e0 di aggiungere applicazioni X11 ai desktop configurati, come egmde-confined-desktop.<\/p>\n
