Dopo tre anni dall'ultimo aggiornamento, \u00e8 stato rilasciato il progetto Siduction 2021.1, che sviluppa un distribuitore Linux orientato al desktop, basato sulla base pacchetti di Debian Sid (instabile). Si segnala che la preparazione del nuovo rilascio \u00e8 iniziata circa un anno fa, ma nell'aprile 2020 il principale sviluppatore del progetto, Alf Gaida, ha smesso di rispondere, e da allora non si hanno notizie. Tuttavia, il team \u00e8 riuscito a raccogliere le energie e continuare lo sviluppo con i rimanenti membri. <\/p>\n

Siduction \u00e8 un fork di Aptosid, nato nel luglio 2011. La differenza principale rispetto ad Aptosid \u00e8 l'uso di una versione pi\u00f9 recente di KDE come ambiente desktop, proveniente dal repository sperimentale Qt-KDE. Inoltre, le costruzioni del sistema operativo sono basate su versioni aggiornate di Xfce, LXDE, GNOME, Cinnamon, MATE e LXQt, oltre a una versione minimalista di X.Org basata sul gestore di finestre Fluxbox e alla costruzione \u00abnoX\u00bb, fornita senza ambiente grafico per gli utenti che desiderano assemblare personalmente il proprio sistema. <\/p>\n

Nel nuovo rilascio, sono state aggiornate le versioni degli ambienti desktop KDE Plasma 5.20.5 (con il trasferimento di alcuni componenti dalla versione 5.21), LXQt 0.16.0, Cinnamon 4.8.6, Xfce 4.16 e Lxde 10. Il kernel Linux \u00e8 stato aggiornato alla versione 5.10.15 e il gestore di sistema Systemd alla versione 247. La base pacchetti \u00e8 stata sincronizzata con il repository Debian Unstable al 7 febbraio. \u00c8 stato migliorato l'installatore, basato sul framework Calamares.
