Nel browser web Brave \u00e8 stata rilevata una perdita di dati DNS relative ai siti onion aperti in modalit\u00e0 di navigazione privata, in cui il traffico viene reindirizzato attraverso la rete Tor. Sono gi\u00e0 state adottate le soluzioni al problema e saranno incluse nella prossima stabile aggiornamento di Brave. <\/p>\n

La causa della perdita \u00e8 stato un blocco degli annunci, che \u00e8 stato suggerito di disattivare durante l'uso di Tor. Di recente, le reti pubblicitarie hanno iniziato ad aggirare i blocchi degli annunci caricando i blocchi pubblicitari utilizzando un sottodominio nativo del sito, per cui viene creato un record CNAME sul server DNS del sito che punta all'host della rete pubblicitaria. In questo modo, il codice pubblicitario viene formalmente caricato dallo stesso host primario di dominio<\/a>, e quindi non viene bloccato. Per identificare tali manovre e determinare l'host associato tramite CNAME, i blocchi degli annunci eseguono un'ulteriore risoluzione del nome nel DNS. <\/p>\n

In Brave, le normali richieste DNS durante l'apertura di un sito in modalit\u00e0 privata passavano attraverso la rete Tor, ma il blocco degli annunci eseguiva la risoluzione CNAME tramite il server DNS principale, il che portava a una perdita di informazioni sui siti onion aperti sul server DNS del provider. \u00c8 interessante notare che in Brave la modalit\u00e0 di navigazione privata basata su Tor non \u00e8 posizionata come garanzia di anonimato e gli utenti vengono avvisati nella documentazione che non sostituisce Tor Browser, ma utilizza solo Tor come proxy.
