Se le etichette di interesse possono essere ottenute da qualsiasi sito, si creano condizioni per la discriminazione degli utenti, a seconda delle loro preferenze e opinioni, oltre ad un uso attivo del targeting predatorio.    <\/p>\n<p>Invece di abbandonare completamente il targeting, Google sta cercando di sostituire il vecchio metodo di targeting con un nuovo approccio che presenta i suoi problemi. L'EFF ritiene che l'utente debba decidere quali informazioni condividere con ogni sito e non debba preoccuparsi del fatto che le tracce delle sue attivit\u00e0 passate possano essere utilizzate per manipolarlo durante la navigazione. Ad esempio, se un utente \u00e8 identificato e ha effettuato l'accesso al proprio account, il servizio pu\u00f2 abbinare esplicitamente i dati sulle preferenze forniti nel gruppo con l'utente specifico, tracciando la trasformazione delle preferenze in caso di cambiamento dei gruppi.\n<li class=\"l\"> Non \u00e8 esclusa anche la possibilit\u00e0 di ingegneria inversa della cronologia di navigazione basata sui dati di gruppo, cio\u00e8 l'analisi dell'algoritmo di assegnazione dei gruppi consente di dedurre quali siti ha probabilmente visitato l'utente. Inoltre, dai gruppi si possono trarre conclusioni riguardanti l'et\u00e0, la condizione sociale, l'orientamento di genere, le preferenze politiche, le difficolt\u00e0 finanziarie o i traumi vissuti.\n<li class=\"l\"> Discriminazione basata sulle preferenze degli utenti. Ad esempio, le offerte di lavoro e di prestiti possono variare a seconda dell'etnia, della religione, del sesso e dell'et\u00e0. Gli utenti con problemi finanziari possono essere costretti a prendere prestiti a tassi elevati, mentre la definizione dei dati demografici e delle preferenze politiche pu\u00f2 essere utilizzata per
