Sono stati pubblicati aggiornamenti correttivi per il sistema distribuito di gestione delle versioni Git 2.30.2, 2.17.6, 2.18.5, 2.19.6, 2.20.5, 2.21.4, 2.22.5, 2.23.4, 2.24.4, 2.25.5, 2.26.3, 2.27.1, 2.28.1 e 2.29.3, nei quali \u00e8 stata risolta una vulnerabilit\u00e0 (CVE-2021-21300) che consente l'esecuzione remota di codice durante il clone di un repository attaccante utilizzando il comando \u2018git clone\u2019. Sono vulnerabili tutte le versioni di Git a partire dalla 2.15. <\/p>\n

Il problema si presenta quando si utilizzano operazioni di checkout ritardate, che sono applicate in alcuni filtri di pulizia, ad esempio in quelli configurabili in Git LFS. La sfruttamento della vulnerabilit\u00e0 \u00e8 possibile solo nei file system che non differenziano il caso dei caratteri, ma che supportano i collegamenti simbolici, come NTFS, HFS+ e APFS (cio\u00e8 su piattaforme Windows e macOS). <\/p>\n

Come soluzione alternativa per la protezione, \u00e8 possibile disattivare nel git la gestione dei link simbolici eseguendo \u2018git config --global core.symlinks false\u2019, oppure disattivare il supporto per i processi di filtro utilizzando il comando \u2018git config --show-scope --get-regexp 'filter\\..*\\.process'\u2019. Si raccomanda inoltre di evitare di clonare repository non verificati.
