Zink consente di ottenere una OpenGL accelerata dall'hardware quando nel sistema sono presenti driver limitati al supporto dell'API Vulkan. Le prestazioni di Zink sono simili a quelle delle implementazioni native di OpenGL.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel driver llvmpipe, progettato per il rendering software, \u00e8 stato implementato il supporto per OpenGL 4.6.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel driver Freedreno, utilizzato per il sottosistema grafico delle chip Qualcomm, \u00e8 stato implementato il supporto per OpenGL ES 3.0 per le GPU Adreno a6xx.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel driver Panfrost per GPU Midgard (Mali-T7xx, Mali-T8xx) e Bifrost (Mali G3x, G5x, G7x) \u00e8 stato implementato il supporto per OpenGL 3.1, cos\u00ec come il supporto per OpenGL ES 3.0 per le GPU Bifrost.\n<li class=\"l\"> Il driver radeonsi ha implementato il supporto per le estensioni OpenGL GL_EXT_demote_to_helper_invocation e GL_NV_compute_shader_derivatives. Il gioco 'Counter-Strike: Global Offensive' attiva di default la modalit\u00e0 di ottimizzazione 'mesa_glthread', che pu\u00f2 aumentare le prestazioni del 10-20%. Sono state aggiunte le estensioni VK_VALVE_mutable_descriptor_type e VK_KHR_fragment_shading_rate (solo per RDNA2).\n<li class=\"l\"> Nei driver Intel ANV e Iris sono state introdotte ottimizzazioni delle prestazioni e offerta il supporto iniziale per le estensioni Vulkan dedicate al ray tracing, implementate nelle schede grafiche Xe HPG.\n<li class=\"l\"> Aggiunto il supporto per l'estensione EGL_MESA_platform_xcb, che consente alle applicazioni di creare risorse EGL da risorse X11 senza fare riferimento a Xlib.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel driver Vulkan V3DV, sviluppato per il processore grafico VideoCore VI utilizzato nelle schede Raspberry Pi 4 basate sul chip Broadcom BCM2711, \u00e8 stato aggiunto il supporto per Wayland WSI (Windowing System Integration), che consente di accedere all'API Vulkan da ambienti basati su Wayland.\n<li class=\"l\"> Accettata l'implementazione iniziale di un layer che traduce le chiamate OpenGL in API DirectX 12, per abilitare il funzionamento delle applicazioni grafiche nell'ambiente WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux).
