Il kernel \u00e8 disponibile per le architetture x86_64 e ARM64 (aarch64). I codici sorgenti del kernel, inclusa la suddivisione in singoli patch, sono pubblicati nel repository Git pubblico di Oracle.    <\/p>\n<p>Il pacchetto Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel 6 si basa sul kernel Linux 5.4 (UEK R5 si basava sul kernel 4.14), integrato con nuove funzionalit\u00e0, ottimizzazioni e correzioni, ed \u00e8 stato testato per la compatibilit\u00e0 con la maggior parte delle applicazioni che girano su RHEL, ottimizzato specificamente per lavorare con il software e l'hardware industriale di Oracle. I pacchetti di installazione e src del kernel UEK R6 sono stati preparati per Oracle Linux 7.x e 8.x.       <\/p>\n<p>Principali modifiche:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\">  Per i cgroups \u00e8 stato aggiunto un nuovo controller di distribuzione della memoria slab (slab memory controller), che \u00e8 notevole per il trasferimento del monitoraggio dello slab dal livello delle pagine di memoria al livello degli oggetti del kernel, consentendo la condivisione delle pagine slab tra diversi cgroup, anzich\u00e9 l'assegnazione di cache slab separate per ciascun cgroup. L'approccio proposto permette di migliorare l'efficienza dell'uso dello slab, riducendo fino al 50% la dimensione della memoria utilizzata per lo slab, diminuendo significativamente il consumo complessivo di memoria del kernel e riducendo la frammentazione della memoria.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stato aggiunto un nuovo driver vpda per i dispositivi Mellanox ConnectX-6 Dx con supporto per il framework vDPA (vHost Data Path Acceleration), permettendo di sfruttare l'accelerazione hardware per l'input\/output basata su VirtIO nelle macchine virtuali.\n<li class=\"l\"> Dal kernel Linux 5.9 sono state trasferite le migliorie relative al supporto per i dispositivi NVMe.\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono stati trasferiti correttivi e miglioramenti per i file system Btrfs, CIFS, ext4, NFS, OCFS2 e XFS.\n<li class=\"l\"> I driver sono stati aggiornati, incluso lpfc 12.8.0.5 (Broadcom Emulex LightPulse Fibre Channel SCSI) con supporto per la modalit\u00e0 SCSI Fibre Channel a 256 gigabit, mpt3sas 36.100.00.00 (LSI MPT Fusion SAS 3.0), qla2xxx 0.02.00.103-k (QLogic Fibre Channel HBA).\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporto sperimentale aggiunto <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\"
