Lo sviluppo della distribuzione Slackware 15.0 \u00e8 entrato in fase di beta testing. Slackware \u00e8 in evoluzione dal 1993 ed \u00e8 la distribuzione esistente pi\u00f9 antica. Tra le caratteristiche della distribuzione ci sono l'assenza di complicazioni e un sistema di avvio semplice nello stile dei classici sistemi BSD, che rende Slackware una soluzione interessante per apprendere il funzionamento dei sistemi Unix-like, per condurre esperimenti e per avvicinarsi al Linux. \u00c8 stato preparato un'immagine di installazione per il download, di dimensioni 3,1 GB (x86_64), nonch\u00e9 una versione ridotta per l'avvio in modalit\u00e0 Live. <\/p>\n

Le principali differenze di Slackware 15 riguardano l'aggiornamento delle versioni dei programmi, tra cui il passaggio al kernel Linux 5.10, la suite di compilatori GCC 10.3 e la libreria di sistema Glibc 2.33.
