L'output avviene tramite il backend RDP-RAIL (RDP Remote Application Integrated Locally), il quale differisce dal precedente backend RDP disponibile in Weston in quanto il compositore non esegue il rendering del desktop, ma reindirizza le superfici separate (wl_surface) attraverso il canale RDP RAIL per essere visualizzate sul desktop principale di Windows. Per avviare le applicazioni X11 viene utilizzato XWayland.    <center><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Microsoft ha iniziato a testare il supporto per l&#039;esecuzione di applicazioni GUI Linux su Windows\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/c109ee5468c0a33551887bf6396a3bc4.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/center>    <\/p>\n<p>L'uscita audio \u00e8 organizzata utilizzando <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/server\/dts-los-angeles\/\"   title=\"server\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3705\">server<\/a> PulseAudio, che interagisce anche con Windows tramite il protocollo RDP (per l'uscita audio viene utilizzato il plugin rdp-sink e per l'input \u2014 rdp-source). Il server composito, XWayland e PulseAudio sono confezionati sotto forma di un mini-distro universale WSLGd, che include componenti per l'astrazione del sistema grafico e sonoro ed \u00e8 basato sulla distribuzione CBL-Mariner Linux, utilizzata anche nell'infrastruttura cloud di Microsoft. WSLGd viene avviato utilizzando meccanismi di virtualizzazione e per la condivisione tra l'ambiente guest Linux e il sistema host Windows viene utilizzato virtio-fs.       <\/p>\n<p>Come <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/vps\/abuzoustojchivye-vps\/\"   title=\"server RDP\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"4012\">server RDP<\/a>, eseguito nell'ambiente Linux WSLGd, si utilizza FreeRDP, mentre sul lato Windows il client RDP \u00e8 mstsc. Per identificare le applicazioni grafiche Linux disponibili e visualizzarle nel menu di Windows, \u00e8 stato preparato un gestore WSLDVCPlugin. Con le distribuzioni Linux comuni installate nell'ambiente WSL2, come Ubuntu, Debian e CentOS, il set di componenti eseguito in WSLGd interagisce tramite socket, gestendo le richieste tramite i protocolli Wayland, X11 e PulseAudio. Le binding preparate per WSLGd sono distribuite sotto licenza MIT.        <\/p>\n<p>Per installare WSLGd \u00e8 necessario avere Windows 10 Insider Preview almeno nella versione 21362. In futuro, la possibilit\u00e0 di installare WSLGd sar\u00e0 disponibile anche per le versioni normali di Windows, senza la necessit\u00e0 di partecipare al programma Insider Preview. L'installazione di WSLGd avviene eseguendo il comando standard \u00abwsl \u2014install\u00bb, ad esempio per Ubuntu \u2014 \u00abwsl \u2014install -d Ubuntu\u00bb. Per gli ambienti WSL2 esistenti, l'installazione di WSLGd avviene tramite il comando \u00abwsl \u2014update\u00bb (sono supportati solo gli ambienti WSL2 che utilizzano il kernel Linux, e non la traduzione delle chiamate). Le applicazioni grafiche vengono installate tramite il gestore pacchetti standard della distribuzione.    <\/p>\n<p>WSLGd fornisce solo meccanismi per l'output della grafica 2D, mentre per accelerare la grafica 3D basata su OpenGL nelle distribuzioni installate in WSL2 si consiglia di utilizzare una GPU virtuale (vGPU). I driver vGPU per WSL sono disponibili per chip AMD, Intel e NVIDIA. L'accelerazione grafica \u00e8 garantita attraverso la fornitura di un livello di implementazione di OpenGL sopra DirectX 12. Questo livello \u00e8 realizzato come driver d3d12, incluso nella versione principale di Mesa 21.0, e sviluppato in collaborazione con Collabora.       <\/p>\n<p>Il funzionamento della GPU virtuale in Linux avviene tramite il dispositivo \/dev\/dxg con servizi che replicano il WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model) del kernel di Windows. Il driver stabilisce una connessione con la GPU fisica tramite il bus VM. Le applicazioni Linux hanno lo stesso livello di accesso alla GPU delle applicazioni native di Windows, senza alcuna separazione delle risorse tra Windows e Linux. I test di performance su un dispositivo Surface Book Gen3 con GPU Intel hanno mostrato che nel nativo ambiente Win32 il test Geeks3D GpuTest raggiunge 19 FPS, mentre nell'ambiente Linux con vGPU
