Xenoblade Chronicles is in the past decade become a major franchise for Nintendo thanks to two main entries and one . Fortunately for fans, neither the publisher nor Monolith Soft plans to abandon the series in the near future.

In an interview with Vandal, Monolith Soft's head and creator of the Xenoblade Chronicles series, Tetsuya Takahashi, stated that the studio is focused on developing the Xenoblade Chronicles brand and will continue to release games within it.
“From the perspective of giving Monolith Soft more diversity, I would like to create a smaller-scale project if the opportunity arose,” he said. “But for now, I think we should focus on increasing the value of the brand that we've created with Xenoblade Chronicles. Of course, if we can organize ourselves so that it's possible, I would still like to give a chance to a small project.”

It's worth noting that back in 2018, Monolith Soft stated that it had “no clear plans for continuing the series,” but apparently, changed that. Recently, a remake of the original Xenoblade Chronicles was released on the Nintendo Switch, which not only revamped the graphics but many other elements as well. For example, a more detailed and user-friendly quest log with location indicators was added, whether for an item or an enemy. Xenoblade Chronicles has become a major franchise for Nintendo over the last decade thanks to two main entries and one spin-off.
